MyECU: http://www.cajinnovations.com/MyECU/index.htm

Also fits other Ducs w P7, P8, 1.5 & 1.6 WM ECU like M900ie 00-01,
851/888, some 916, most 748, ST2 & 4, 750 & 900SSie.
I know from FHE it works in 907, ST4, 888.

Best is to get a used chassi w the big AMP 36-pin connector. You switch PCB, looks like this:

You get the software in a mail, looks like this (older version):

Could also be opened w f e Wordpad, here`s a part of it:

You could also alter all parameters in Wordpad.
You have full access to all parameters in WM + some good new ones, like possibility to connect wideband Lambdas,
set A/F targets, switch to Closed Loop Mode and tune on a Dyno or road and save the result!

Quite simple setup & communication: PC - RS232 adapter - MyECU:

Only quirk is that it uses own TPS breaks values instead of usual percent. But there is a formula to convert that.
Any old laptop will do, I got mine f free and use W98!  Cool
If you buy MyECU as a DIY kit you`ll end up w a cost of something like 300-370 US$.

Been mapping carefully w original map as starting point, 30-40 maps later I`m quite happy w the result:

Measured at rear wheel, SAE.
Engine mods: MyECU P8, polished inlets & ports, 900SSie cams, HC pistons, optimised squish, open airbox, F1 mufflers.
Good driveability, even 2-3500 RPM 3-4-5 gear, and good punch at 6-8000.
Not so bad f an only assDyno mapped old 907! Grin
Dyno finetuning will follow.

greenmonster,

Thanks for posting this.  I think our friends at Ignitech also make a similar replacement ECU for fuel injected bikes.  Just wondering if you know much about it?

You`re welcome.

Checked them alittle, dunno more than the ignijet04 has a preset for 996 which I guess works f S4R/Rs.
It`s a bit primitive on the ignition mapping side, just the same parameters as onTCI-P4!
OK price and experience w the TCI-P4 is still good after 2 years of working flawlessly so I might bought one
if it was possible f my 907.
All in all, quite happy w MyECU for now, hope someone will try it on a Monster 00-01.
Posted this to show the possibility for that. Maybe too hard w the Immobilizer/instrument panel issue though.

Do you have a TCI-P4?

EDIT: Just checked ignijet07, much better w 999 & 996 possibility and fully programmable ignition + all you can think of!

Yes, I bought one to use on my 1986 Cagiva Elefant with a 650 Ducati Pantah motor. But...it's languishing on the bench along with half a dozen other started-but-not-finished projects.
