thanks jukie while i got you here , that vespa i spoke about haveing trouble with model can only find a frame and engine number but no letters , its a 1956 model 125cc with a douglas motor and its a bit special because it was the millionth one made , the only thing missing is the engine cover , any ideas or places to buy stuff would be appeciated , ps moving sucks but the baby got a nice warm home now  [thumbsup]

Well Bazz,

This is a english motor and there is no letters in the engine number because of this. The number are not consecutive numbers they are just a bit about the place. The model is likely to be a 42L2. the engine cover is call a engine cowl and they are no longer made, so you might have to do a ebay thing. by doing this use the model number i have already given you. Can you confirm with me whether the Lucas headlight is on the ledshield or on the handle bars. let me know asap as i might be able to find you a engine cowl. If you have any picture of the vespa please post them.

yeh but it a two stroke 125 nothing wrong with that. My brother has restore one of these not so long ago, so he can help alot with parts and etc.

Talk to Brenton at GPS in Melbourne  03 9415 6117 . He might be able to track down a side cover.

Hey Jukie that vespa looks shmmmmik i had some good times on one just like that touring the island of Sicily years back, Ahh them were the days.
Always wanted to owen one since but could never justify the cost for restored one. [thumbsup]

when i get the lammie up and running i put some pics up. The colour skeem is navy and yellow with lots of chrome parts and white wall tyres
