Title: Ducati Short Rear Guard? Post by: ArabicaMan on August 30, 2008, 03:06:42 PM Has anyone installed the Ducati Short Rear Guard in place of the stock tail on their monster? This is the one I'm talking about:

I don't want to do a chop, but the stock turn signals and tail are pretty crowded with my new Termis so I'm looking for options. Cheers. Title: Re: Ducati Short Rear Guard? Quite a few members has it - you will soon have their pictures, if everything works normally around here ;) http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/ZU-C010EDM/Bodywork-Carbon/ZU-C010EDM.html Title: Re: Ducati Short Rear Guard? Post by: red baron on August 30, 2008, 06:28:59 PM Here's mine.

Post by: Paegelow on September 01, 2008, 06:02:17 AM The Monsterparts one says $259... isn't the Ducati one about the same price? I think I've seen them at the dealer for $250-ish

I'm pretty sure those are the Shock LED directionals. I have the same thing on the front of my bike. I got my CF no-chop on Ebay. Here it is installed with the new Rizoma Zero-11's. Post by: S2daRk on September 01, 2008, 08:31:30 AM I got the DP billet signals because I couldn't find any other signals w/ a stalk that matched nicely, but I guess I didnt' think about mounting the Rizomas the way your did. Those Rizoma Zero-11s look real good mounted flush against the carbon tail!

(http://lh6.ggpht.com/williatd/SHEqBkfeIVI/AAAAAAAAAMA/nd9oZKnR13Y/s800/PICT3803.JPG) It's a crappy angle for this thread, so I'll get a better angle later. Basically, I took off my rear guard and "fabbed" (Read: I cut some aluminium strips to make brackets) some brackets to hold the lights. My goal was to reveal more frame without chopping it, so I still have the full-benefit of a fender keeping my back dry. Title: Re: Ducati Short Rear Guard? I wanted to use the DP billet signals but I didn't because they were too much freakin' money! [laugh] |
