That be some dirt rocket ;D
Pam wanted me to tell you that she likes the insect like appearance of the bike..... something that nature would create.

Damn, I'd love to try that out and see how well it handles.  Is that air cooled or water cooled?  I don't see a radiator on it any where.

The frame and engine are stock 2valve monster gear. As near as I can tell the rear swing arm is extended and rear skock and linkage lengthened for travel. The front forks are replaced with off road units, the top triple seems to be aftermarket as well raising the bars substanicially<sp?> with aftermarket fenders, rear sets, kickstand, and a fabbed up skid plate to protect the front cylinder. If I were going to do this I would also install a larger rear sprocket for increased torque off road, and I'm assuming it has a high pipe on the other side outta sight. Maybe something similar to the new BMW 650 unit.

Outta California, I believe that's what WDB told me.  We're lookin' to rebuild a monster from salvage along these lines.

Yeah, they run up between 16,500 including the bike..... seems to me a fella that was handy could do it for less.  ;) I think they were called the Tera-Monster or something similar.... http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2769686 oops wrong one..... ah here we are http://www.terramostro.com/ and a write up. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/firstrides/122_0805_2008_terra_mostro_695/index.html

So Zaster,  here my .02 worth.  Take a deep breathe.

People love spending other peoples money.  With that said,  no matter what.  make sure whatever goes in your garage turns you on like f'n crazy every time you turn the light on.

My .00002 worth.  Baja, steel tubed, air cooled, knoby tired what the huh ?

For the record, I once saw a Lamborgini 4x4.  stranger things have happened.
I'm sure PJ will sell you a multistrada for cheap.

WHOA!!! Nobodies seriously considering this for Zasters bike. Zaster should get his back to street form. An S4Rs would be rediculous in this trim..... way to much power, and fab work as well, no to mention vulnerable parts. I'd like to help Zaster get his bike back on the street or track though.

this is what i read.  sorry bonfy, my bad.  think i'll stick to pm's .  and for the record,  i think you & dusty are the only people i know that this bike would make any since for.  the rest of us are a bunch of pavement pussys.  even though most of us have found ourselves in the dirt, we didn't do it on purpose.

Sorry Kawboy, giddy up !    and all the rest of you Crusty Demons of Dirt.

And Bonfy,  I totally think you need one. another great reason to wear your stiletto S.P.H. boots when you ride (not that ya need one)  so you can touch the ground.
