Title: How-To Posted: Front Wheel Removal
Post by: Spidey on September 01, 2008, 11:35:07 AM
I had to take off my front wheel the other day (thanks for the axle, Conrad).  I took pics and posted a How-To in case others were wondering how to do it.  Here ya go:  http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=10276.0

No problem.   [thumbsup]

Good write up.  [thumbsup] I can't do one for the life of me,...I've tried.  I keep forgetting to take pictures along the way, and I always end up with just two pictures; one before, and one after.  :-\

For older bikes you omitted step 5B: "realize you forgot to put the speedo thingie on the wheel, so remove wheel and restart."

Nice job, as always. If the lawyer thing doesn't work out you can work for the Haynes Manual people.  [thumbsup]

Oh, and when we're drinkin' sometime, I'll tell you about the time I forgot to pump the brakes, hopped on the bike and backed down my driveway, doing my best Fred Flintstone braking maneuver.  :o [roll]

or in my case ... make sure the speedo thingy doesn't spin around the axle and break while removing the wheel ... [bang]

Also make sure that the spedo thingy isn't caught in a bind lest you look down sometime wondering how fast your going and the clock says zero.
Don't ask how I know.
