I didn't know this forum existed either until I read one of the posts on the main forum, but I'm glad that I found it. I'm a newbie as well....a Ducati newbie and a newbie rider. I just started riding last summer and started out learning on the new Honda CBR125R. I rode it for the season and it was a great bike to start on, but I wanted and needed something more if I was going to keep up with my husband on our rides. Anyway our searching eventually brought me to the 2009 696 and I love it. I live in Ontario so the riding season is pretty short. I just got the my monster about a month ago after being on waiting list for about 5 weeks!! So far it's been great, and I'm doing my best to reach 1000km before winter sets in. Anyway Ijust wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm glad to have found a place where I can chat to other woman about riding.
