make the beast with two backs you
>:(
Ouch, dude. :(
Get better.
:-\ sorry bp :(
I've had a couple of go-rounds with them in the past. I'm having backaches right now that fade in and out, just like when I had the stone issues in the past. I havent gotten to the "fall on the floor and cry" stage with this batch yet...... so I'm hoping it's just a back ache.
fingers crossed.
make the beast with two backs man. any way you can try to not get them? as in change your diet up a bit. I had one when i was 15, had back pain and pissed blood. After i pissed it out :( ate healthier and i haven't had one since.

Ive been tested for a couple off different things that may be causing them, with no luck. So far, I have yet to catch one for them to check out.
Ouch. Hope it's just a plain old man aches instead BP. ;D

get a bucket, put it in the bathroom, and just keep pissing in it until the pain stops.
I passed a stone while in the bathroom of a Burger King in Weaverville Ca.... I was not about to reach into the urinal and retrieve it. [puke] [laugh]
So sorry bp. Hang in there.
I'm fine.
It's just pain, and it's not like Ive got cancer or something. Morphine makes it all good [laugh]

Yes, yes it...
Wait... what?
Zzzzzzzz...
I've had one about 2 years ago and since I didn't know what it was, even though I have a pretty high tolerance for pain I thought I was going to die.
Now when I think I might be getting one I have a patented remedy I think you'll like: Drink one beer of choice, fast. Fill the empty bottle with water, and down that fast also. Repeat that about 4-6 times. [drink]
After a couple pees, no more pain. :)
P.S. Worst fear: Shaking one of the little spikey bastards loose during a long ride out of town. Word of warning, don't go looking up google images of kidney stones. :o

Wow!! Did you see the sharp edges on those things????
Ouch!
Hope they pass with as little pain as possible, bp.

thats what kills me about them..... tiny lil grain of sand sized stones, will make you drop on a dirty floor and cry like a baby. makes ya feel like a big pussy when the pain goes away [laugh]
People have compared passing kidney stones to childbirth. Thanks, but I'll pass....
My father has had a lot of kidney stones. He would have to ( believe it or not take a strainer with him where ever he went.) I just can not imagine the pain. :'( Hang in there BP. Lets hope it's just back pain. Take it easy
get some automotive paint strainers [laugh]

If you go see a doc Joel, ask for a strainer (you really shouldn't have to ask).
Hang in there and good luck to you.
If I remember correctly we had a nifty procedure in the OR where we could zap those puppies. Maybe it was gallstones tho.... :-\
Some urologists will try ultrasound, but it's hit or miss. Usually only used when the stones are too large to pass through the ureters...

Pretty fackin' sweet science behind it, tho. Generate sound waves at one focal point of an ellipse, pulverize kidney stones at the other.

according to Kaiser, they have to know the make up of the stone prior, to being able to do that.... and or, wait until the stone becomes more of an issue than just being a painfull thing. I was told to monitor my temp, because if my temp rises, thats a sign of infection, and if thats the case, they go in..... until then, it's just wait for it/them to pass.
You know what, haven't had any issues since I started riding all the time. My first and only one so far was right after I got my bike, about 2 years ago. Now I make sure to alternate hitting the ton in 5th gear, and hard accelration from about 15 MPH in 3rd gear at least a couple times each time I ride, you know, just to keep things a little shook up. Doctor prescribed... [coffee] [leo] ;D
Sorry to hear, BP.
Never had them, I hope I never do.
Sorry bp. :'(
I've been there done that.
My most recent (May) one stone in one kidney was passable the one in the other kidney was not, needing surgery.
I'll be praying for you.
