Quite possible, it was always said that the 1098/848 engine didn't fit into the 696 frame but nothing was ever said about the 1100
Multi engine. I'd hope it makes more than 95hp though considering the S4Rs makes around 130hp and 140hp once tuned with pipes
ECU and filter etc...
Guess we'll see in the next few months.

i doubt it will make much more than 95 at the wheel, it is an air cooled two valver after all, and the dual spark set up is a dead giveaway there's no more development left in it. the torque in that engine in a multi is amazing though and makes up for the low hp number. unless you want to consistently go above 200kph you wouldn't even miss it, and if you do buy a four valver. I'm sceptical of the numbers being bandied around about the S4RS anyway, the 998 and 999 with the bigger airbox and bigger throttle bodies barely made 130 rwhp and the monster has the 50mm T/B's and a tiny airbox.
my 996cc S4R makes 120 rwhp with an open airbox, k&n filter, arrow exhaust and the cams dialed in. even with SPS cams there's barely another 5 peak hp extra, though it makes big gains everywhere and is GREAT to ride with them.
