Title: What pods to use, and where would be best to get 'em?
Post by: brimo on September 03, 2008, 05:28:02 PM
The title says it all, would prefer to buy local, at the moment the best price out of the states is US$82 + postage.
Oh yes, S2R 800

Pods, interesting. So you remove the airbox under the tank and install 2 pods instead? That would open it up quite a bit. Is there anything else that needs to be relocated? I would love to see the end product.  [popcorn]

Yep as you said DosVerde, love the sound and the difference in performance with the pcIII, mufflers etc, but want to reduce the induction noise that is directed straight at you by the air box.

yeah Brimo, I'm in aggregation - the induction suck is great if your a cafe racer or going for a quick fang - I've just come back from Rutherglen/Albury and done close to 1000k in the 2 days and I miss the ability to get down low without hearing the roar...

would a normal closed airbox that has been 'half' cut (as opposed to the full cut which the modded one is) solve our problems?

your going to do this before you get a PCIII custom map?

Mine's booked in for a map in 10 days time - thinking of messing with the standard airbox before then.
