We'll be meeting up at the Servo in Glenbrook @ 0800 then via Lithgow, Bathhurst and on to Cowra. Meet up with a Canberra group in Cowra, fuel & lunch and then via West Wyalong onto Narrandera. Overnight and make our way back to Sydney on Sunday - after we farewell the riders heading west.

That's the plan, plain and simple.

The more the merrier - so join in for a good cause.  :)

damn, this weekend is crunch time for uni final works, no way I can make it - for others with less commitments, get out there and show your support! I'll be thinking of you when at my computer (and rather be on my bike!)

I have to say I am glad I made the effort and joined in for this ride today, Only went as far as other side of Lithgow but a vey good ride. Great atmosphere and nice people. Mick (Monsterdorf) was in fine form, piling shit on me about fuel stops but he stopped that after his accidental Stoppie at the lights while hard on the brakes..... Those undies shall be in a seperate wash!
I was pleased to hear of a fella who only 6 weeks ago was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer was able to join in the ride to Bathurst and back to Sydney even though he does not have a bike on the road, Well done to Western Motorcycles at Penrith who threw him the keys to a bike they had traded and let him use it for the day so he could be part of it.
I will be involved again next time.

OK back in Richmond after a great 1300Km weekend.

Lots of bikes but only one Duc made it to Narandera - that being the Monster.

I noticed a couple of things on this ride:

1. with a 14T front my bike hits the rev limiter in top
2. as you increase your cruise speed your fuel consumption increases exponentially, used over 9L for only 120Km at one point!
3. Monsters are a great tourer - made those bloated BMW's look pretty sad especially when they got off and still had sore bums!

I guess we need to plan better next time and get a gaggle of Monsters to come along.

Not being rude or anything, but do we have rev limiters???? I didn't think Monsters did???? Maybe 'cause I am blonde????????but I know what you mean monsterdorf by revving with 14 T we have put the 15 T back in and I forgot how smooth mine ran, mine was always jerky at take off with 14T better with the 15Tat highway speeds, that's just my 2ct worth anyway. [thumbsup]

I love the 14T but when I change the sprockets I'll probably go somewhere between the current and factory final drive ratio.

If you've got a fuel injected Duc it definitely has a limiter and it's not subtle. Just give is a hardy rev in 3rd and you'll see what I mean. On my S2R it seems to kick in about 9000 rpm. The S4Rs rev a bit higher particularly with the DP ECU somewhere around 10K.

Yep mid 10k it hits ya! Not exactly sure what revs but I know it was there somewhere.....

If ya going on a tour, prolly worth putting the 15t back on, would save you a few bucks in fuel and wear on the engine.

When I mentioned to someone the other day that I had a ducati, they asked me about the new type of gearbox the Ducatis have, "apparently you shift by feel or something"   [roll] and no they weren't yanking my chain.
