Title: Motorcycle lift jacks
Post by: monstermick58 on September 05, 2008, 12:57:24 AM
Does anyone own/use/seen/ touched/bought a motorcycle lift/jack that will hold the monster in place so that you can remove both front and rear wheels at the same time ? Oh! It has to be reasonably priced too.
None I have seen in 'just bikes' support the engine, they all use the lower frame rails as an  attachment point. Any ideas peoples??

I have one of these

If you look at the gallery you'll see my Monster on the lift.

Mmick,

I have two bike stands - front and rear - I can take both wheels off no probs. Bought the stands from Ron at Flywheels. I have used them a number of times to take the wheels off and get new tyres fitted.

Cheers,

Not really sure if would suit your bike or all dukes, but here's another option, if you want to improvise a little.
Likely to work with all 1000DS engines with the same mount point on block (well at least I think so since my 1100DS HM has the mount), but at $135 +p/h I think it's VERRY cheap for what it does.
Aussie company too, NSW-based.

Anyways these guys have other options... Check em out http://www.andersonstands.com/catalog.htm (http://www.andersonstands.com/catalog.htm)

I got this one which lets me wheel it round any which way:

Yeah the big blue looks like the one, bit pricey though, but I need to get both wheels off the ground so I can drop the frorks out and the rear wheel at the same time, thanks MonsterDorf.
