Title: Improving Cell Phone Reception
Post by: NAKID on September 09, 2008, 12:40:56 PM
OK, the new place for some reason has shitty coverage inside and decent reception outside. I have Verizon and switching right now would not be ideal. I have contacted them about the issue and they apparently sent someone out to check the area. The report came back that the reception sucks because of the terrain and that they have a new tower scheduled but there is currently no ETA.

I have been looking a little online about repeaters and amplifiers, but I haven't be able to find a reasonably priced solution (<$300). Any ideas? ZLTFUL?

Our company uses AT&T. I've purchased over two dozen of these for use with the aircard wirless routers.. They work great for AT&T, However do your homework for the service you have and make sure you buy the one that will  work for your service.

^ See suggestions above.

Sorry...just saw this thread today. But like is stated, make sure they will work with Verizon.

Odd thing about VZW, my phone shows no bars in the office here but I can make and recieve calls with no static or distortion...and at home, I have 4 bars and get wierd static pops all the time. Not mjch you can do about terrain/EM fields...
