Title: Hurricane Ike
Post by: Slag on September 10, 2008, 02:27:09 PM
Looks like he could put a dampener on this weekends riding. Weather Channel is saying 4 inches of rain in N TX. Most of the models show it going right through DFW.

Here is a really cool storm tracking site

Looks like we are going to be missed. Just a little wind and rain. The generator will continue to gather dust.

Very true. I am from central Florida and my parents are just outside New Orleans. We take this hurricane stuff seriously.

So we were watching the weather this morning and this reporter was staggering around from the wind and telling us how they've requested that everyone stay inside or evacuate........then he kinda just blew over into a tree....it took him a while to get up and start reporting again....I don't really get it. If he would just go inside and report from there, that would be good enough for me. :-\

is there seriously a difference between $5.00 and $5.50 a gallon...........Unless I start getting a courtesy reach-a-round from the oil companies I will stay pisssed for being screwed

Seeing you grumble about the price of gas is probably a lot like me me grumbling when I buy beer.
;D

Oh, and it looks like Ike is gone.

Thanks for the rain Ike!!!  [thumbsup]

I really considered doing just that. Showing up at the parents for a hurricane in TX would have been a riot  ;D

What a bunch of crap. We got nothing. Nada. We needed rain really bad and we got nothing. Typical North TX weather forecast. They tell you all hell is going to break loose and nothing happens. I swear it's all for TV ratings. Whether it's ice storms or spring/summer thunderstorms they always oversell the forecast. Always. Wankers. >:( Hell, we got more rain this last Tuesday from a normal front.
