Title: powerstands mario Post by: dklay on September 11, 2008, 01:50:20 PM I ordered a Powerstands Mario earlier this week for my S2R800 and it just arrived. My initial impressions are very good indeed. VERY easy to get the bike up on solo, especially using it on the sprocket side. Very solidly made and holds the bike very well. It comes with pins for both sides of all SSS ducs (except 1098) as well as pins for Triumphs and MV. Yeah, yeah, I know it's a blatant Pit-Bull ripoff, but the price was right and it shipped fast. I ordered it Monday night from powersportsuperstore.com and it arrived today (Thursday)! Good deal!
here's where I got it: http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/Powerstands-MARIO-REAR-SINGLE-SIDED-STAND-MARIO-p/tr59-0007.htm eccentric hub adjustment spanner just arrived today from desmotimes also-- now I can actually clean and adjust my chain! Title: Re: powerstands mario Post by: ICON on September 11, 2008, 02:57:47 PM I word of caution on that stand. I had one for my R1 and I noticed the bolts started coming loose after some use. I never really gave it much thought until I was about to sell the bike. I then noticed the loose bolts.
Good luck and keep an eye on them. [thumbsup] Title: Re: powerstands mario Post by: c_rex on September 11, 2008, 04:08:18 PM I use that stand almost daily. Lovvvvvvve it!

[thumbsup] W/ that advice I'll probably loosen those bolts up and re-assemble w/ some loctite. Thanks. Title: Re: powerstands mario Post by: NAKID on September 13, 2008, 05:21:04 PM Spraypaint? Powdercoat?
Title: Re: powerstands mario Post by: uclabiker06 on September 13, 2008, 05:59:10 PM Quote Spraypaint? Powdercoat? [bang] Dope!...why didn't I think about that. I don't know how feasible it would be to powder coat it, but the spray paint idea is perfect. PM'd you. Title: Re: powerstands mario Post by: c_rex on September 13, 2008, 07:34:10 PM spray paint it. ordinarily I'd say powder coat but since your stand is likely to take a beating and you may want to do 'touch up' or totally repaint it you're better off knowing which paint you used and it'll take practically no time at all to prep/paint the thing. powdercoating would cost more and take more time than it's worth while not being able to touch it up.
