Title: Help identifying a part Post by: NYCmonster on September 11, 2008, 07:00:06 PM I have a 2006 620 and notice that I have, I think it's the fuel filter, under the right-side panel. There's a metal cover on it. I looked on the Ducati website at the pics for my bike and year but the pics doesn't show it. You can see the rear shock, but can't on my bike because of the filter and cover.
Wondering what this really is and why I have it and not on other bikes. Thanks. Are there hoses coming out the top? Title: Re: Help identifying a part Post by: jdubbs32584 on September 11, 2008, 07:55:34 PM What they said. I believe all of the US bikes came with the canister. Here's a good thread with info on how to remove it: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=2337.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=2337.0)
Title: Re: Help identifying a part Post by: NYCmonster on September 12, 2008, 05:45:25 AM Thank you. I ordered the Arrow high mounts and on their picture the mounting tab attaches to where the canister is, except their bike doesn't have the canister. So I got worried that I ordered the wrong pipes and that it won't fit.
Title: Re: Help identifying a part Post by: Slide Panda on September 12, 2008, 06:36:55 AM Nope, you got the right pipes - high mounts just require you to remove that emissions canister is all. Follow the linky from JBubble and remove that canister. Once you have it off, you might want to track down a side pod (one of the plastic triangles) that doesn't have a bump-out to fit around the canister.

Or just go ahead and take them ugly thangs off (http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/9333/1001381hi6.jpg) ;D ;D ;D |
