Title: You know you have a problem when...
Post by: Razgriz on September 11, 2008, 07:25:57 PM
When you leave for a business trip and show up at the airport with your Tumi Ducati luggage, a matching Tumi Ducati backpack, a Ducati shirt, and a pair of Ducati shoes; and your actual Ducati's not even rideable haha.

Anyone else have a similiar travel setup??

It counts if you went to work with it  [thumbsup]

I only flew to Denver... I would have loved to ride up here but I'm still waiting for new wheel and rotor  [moto]

This might be the new way of advertising without having to pay big$$ to the media by using the internet as your distributor instead.

Yup, I don't think I could've been much more miserable than I was at that bus station heading back to the NMMR minus my 695.  But, here I was last Sunday, full of glee, because I got to take the Dragon for a ride up into the mountains with the SoCo Dogs while WannaDucBad put the Paladin back together.  Thanks to him I am back in Ducati heaven.

Here are some shots of the other riders at Pine Junction:

Lunch at Breckenridge:

And here is the Paladin, ready to ride with all the kings horses and all the kings men, again!

I took him out this evening for a little ride.  Sure felt good to be back in the saddle.

Fixeed him up good. Haad to borrow a couple of Trents pieces/parts but that way we had everything on hand needed to get Paladin going.

A little shot of Ducati does wonders for the blahs.  It is kind of addicting.  Not a bad addiction, though.   [thumbsup] [clap]

You got that right! Glad to see you riding again Bonfy.  [thumbsup]  How's the pinky holding up?  You look pretty darn happy in the pics, so my guess is that it is doing very well.  [clap]      [bacon]

Actually, my pinky's a little pissed off because it get's jammed about every fourth time I am done shifting and go to put it back between the handgrip and lever.   But I couldn't miss out on a chance to ride the Dragon and with the Colorado crew.

I got the Paladin home now though he is still in the truck bed.  The ferrets and fish survived my weeklong absence in fine form thanks to Dusty's vigilence.  Thank you so much, Dusty!

What a beautiful day out there!  I  have got to get out there in it.

See you guys at HunkyPunk's tomorrow!

Sorry that tank didn't hold Mom. I was nervous about that, we shoulda just used Trents until we could get one in.  :-\ I'll send it down with Drea.... maybe a day or two further out though, she isn't feeling well.

Sorry she's under the weather.   :(

About the tank, yeah, I know, it was too good to be true.  If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it.  No one would ever buy a new tank.  I guess it is just where the crack is located.  I am still tempted to take it on little tiny runs (like over to Hunkypunks for the MotorGP today).  It is a function of filling the tank to just above where the reserve light kicks on (which is where it starts to leak), then I know I have about 10 miles of travel.  I am desperate.  It's just been so long and now to be so close to ridability.  Plus, I wanted to take it to Taos this week for Feast Day.  How about meeting me halfway this afternoon in Raton with Trent's tank?  Pleeeeeease??

I'll be in for a tube tomorrow, that's for sure!  WDB sent Trent's tank down with Drea and I will be picking it up tomorrow.  I will try the magic tank sealer first since it will save me having to change out the cap and fuel pump.  I'll have Trent as a back up if it doesn't hold.  I gotta get it done before Tuesday AM so I can make it to Taos in the afternoon.  Will definitely say hi to Pam!  Won't you be there?   ???

Quick question:  are those products for use with a plastic tank?  Mine is not metal.

I had the annual audit come up this week and won't be able to take time off.
I'm pretty sure both products are for metal tanks only.
Hope you get to go.

Kingbaby referred to me to a guy over at West Honda who does repairs on dirtbikes with plastic tanks.  I'm going to give him a call and see what type of sealer he uses.  But thanks for the suggestion.  Luckily I talked to Dusty before I made a run to the part store.   :D

Yeah I'd heard of the sealer. I did research on it. Everything I found was for metal tanks..... a lot of it seem more geared towards sealing rust out of the fuel than plugging cracks and holes from what I read. That's why I didn't even mention it to Mom. Sorry Bonfy, sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet.  :-* Have you picked up the tank yet? Call me if you need a walk through.

Yup, Drea dropped it off and I put it on.   It is running fine so the polarity was the same on the fuel pump.  Yea!  Life is good again.   [thumbsup]

Yeah, that was probably me.  Had to make a pharmaceutical run.  Gettin low on my meds, hence my borderline personality disorder resurfacing.  Lance hates it when I get back on my meds.   [drink]  So after applying my lipgloss and eyebrow pencil, I roared through a few red lights and hightailed it down to Albertson's where I ran into DucMouse.   [cheeky]  Meds and brewski's just don't mix.   [evil]  I'm kidding.  Seriously. I'm trying to get my bike legs back.  Still a little squirrley in traffic.  It's nervewracking.  We need a dunce emoticon.  Can we get one please?

waitin on parts man, waitin on parts.  Being a poor college student means I like to buy stuff cheap.  Buying stuff cheap means waiting as the Motored-Sports guy takes a LONG time...  ugh.  I could be riding right now with a slipper clutch and all the goodies if I hadn't bit on the cheaper alternative.

....... a young rooster moves into your and your neigbors backyard (pictured) and decides to attract the opposite sex at 6:00 A.M.
This wouldn't be problem during the work week since he could replace my alarm clock but does pose a problem on weekends.
If he doesn't move on soon I might have to post a nude picture of him adorning a roasting pan.
Here is a picture of the rascal:
