Ok... I'm sure there are hundred of posts on this subject.  Just looking to see what you guys think.  In about two weeks I can afford Slip ons (thought I'm not as excited about these)?  It's going to be a several months before I can kick out for a full system?

Areo?
Leo Vince?

CF or Titanium?

What did you pay?  Where did you buy them from?

What model of monster?? I say go full system. It's almost the fall so you could save all winter and have a tasty new mod come spring.

Don't forget oyu'll want to have the thing tuned for the new exhaust. Factor that into the budget too  :)

Here's a quick video. Turn up the bass so you can hear the pipes over the clutch. The pipes are pretty loud, but have a wonderful sound.

I bought my bike from the dealer with the partial system. I really like the CF termi pipes and can't wait to get the midpipe.

If you can, wait and save up for the full system.

For the S4R you could try the Termi shorty. Cheaper than a full system 'cos you don't need the DP ECU or a tune. Looks different too. Still keeps the udder though.

I started out stock and then went w/  CF Termi slip ons  for my #1 S4Rs and I bought them from the dealer.

I really liked the sound and felt a difference in power from stock.

I then went to the full CF Termi system that I bought from my Dealer and WOW what a difference that made . W/ the DP ECU, open Air Box and no silencers ,  or udder, my S4Rs turned into a real fire breathing  "  Monster  S4Rs. "

In retrospect or 20/20 hind sight it's easy to say I should have gone for the full system right away and saved the cost of the slip ons and having them put on. But I had just bought 3 new bikes in the span of a month and I was sort of gun shy whether the full system was woth spending $2200 plus labor.

After going stock for a couple months until the slip ons came in and then reading what all the riders (who had especially S4Rs models ) had to say about the full system , I went ahead and ordered it. In my case for some reason , maybe it was the time of the year, it took about 2-2 1/2 months for the system to come in . No regrets now .  Dolph

I have say, Full system, I was also in the same situation as you, I just started paying my system off slowly, $50 here or $100 there, in a few months I had it paid off.

I just love the sound of the Termi upgrade, The sound is fantastic, and the performance is also great!

Depends where you are, allowing there are members from all over the world on this forum, you should probably advise of your location so everyone can advise your best options.

I prefer the sound of the exhaust than the sound of the open air box, but I'm not complaining, cause my Ducati now roars like a Ducati should.

I live in Lubbock, TX.   Dallas, TX.  And OKC, OK.  are about the same distance for me.

Not to sound like a broken record but,
S4Rs Full Termi W/ ECU and open box.(not good for heavy rain) NO issues, runs perfect. ( like it was intended to!)  Expensive, but necessary  if you want to get the best out of your bike. Take your pick on full systems but Full system alone is no answer if you ride the bike like it's supposed to be ridden. Stock ECU can't be tuned to compensate for the new exhaust.
I was underwhelmed with my bike until I did this mod. Now, no complaints.
Oh by the way, 14t countershaft also!

I guess I don't know what I'm talking about.  But when I say full system, I meant ECU and Airbox.

I won't ride my bike in heavy rain, in less caught, and then just to home.   BUT, on occasion my bike will get rained on while I'm in work.  How much of a concern is this with the open Airbox?

Go big or stay at home.

Full Termi kit is the way to go.  You don't get the big pipes with slipons. The 50 mm pipes make a measurable HP difference as does the open air box. Once the dealer resets the throttle bodies and synchronizes it's sooo good.  With a 14t front sprocket rollons from 4000 rpm are intoxicating.

In all due respect to people who said otherwise, I ride in some of the worst driving rain MUCH more frequently that I'd like to and have absolutely no problem - other than my brakes rusting that is.
