Just watched the opening for the most recent SNL where they parodied a public address by Hillary Clinton and whatsername Pallin. I don't know who any of the new comedians (-iennes) are but damn that was really (x10.5) funny. I've missed out on several years of SNL as they went into a slouch (AFAIC) so what did I miss, if anything?
The opening was the best part. Tina Fey did a great job with Sara Palin. It was hard at times to remember it wasn't really Sara...
I agree with NAKID about Fey.
For those who missed

The rest of the show was shit.
The Jasper Family home school (versus some public school) game show was pretty hilarious.
Q: What are two particles in the nucleus of an atom?
A: Jesus and an angel?
Haha! Fundies are crazy!
[laugh] That was a good skit.

The first time I saw Palin I said she looked just like Tina Fey. Everyone told me I was crazy. [bang]

It was good, but pretty far from the best opener ever.

There are other versions that haven't been pulled yet, just search on 'palin snl'.
NBC.com has it: http://nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/palin-hillary-open/656281/
