Title: Monster Seat and Tank on Hyper?
Post by: gatorgrizz27 on September 15, 2008, 05:30:49 PM
Alright, well I am looking for a new bike soon, but don't know exactly what I want, other than some Ducati.  I love my monster 600, but want more performance other than just more power, and would like a slightly bigger chassis as well.  I like the S2R 1000, but it still doesnt have the radial brakes, nicer wheels, adjustable suspension, or other goodies.  I don't really want an S4RS because I like the air cooled 2V motors.  So, the new Hypermotard S seems pretty sweet, but I cannot stand the riding position, the seat throws me right up on the tank and is too high.  I have a steel monster tank and sargeant seat, does anyone know how difficult it may be to make them fit on the HM?  I know it would require making brackets and I can do all the fab work, I was just curious it the framerails are a different width or angle or some other issue that would prevent it from working.  I know the new Monster 1100 is coming out, and may just end up with that, but prefer the old style monster better.

 Dude,

I know your new and all but you had better take a closer look at the S2R1K. It has Marchesini wheels and adjustable suspension.

aside from suspension wheels, what else are you looking at? theres not much difference between the monster series except for engine, suspension and wheels.

Yes, but IIRC the S4RS wheels are lighter...
