Title: Re: Ducatis in AZ picture thread Post by: Dietrich on May 09, 2008, 12:51:45 PM K, so now how do we insert pics since there's not a default additional option to do so? Dave, you have to host the pic on a site like photobucket or flickr. You can then just copy in the code to link to the pic. Instructions were posted in the FAQ section....http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org/index.php?topic=109.0 Title: Re: Ducatis in AZ picture thread Post by: MotoCreations on May 10, 2008, 11:07:15 PM OK -- I'm not in Arizona anymore -- but I did used to ride there!

That reminds me of the time I took my Buell over Montezuma Pass, a 40-mile dirt road in southern AZ with lots of sandy hairpin corners. It was a lot of fun, doing power slides and flying by SUVs and jeeps that are supposedly designed to go off-pavement. Unfortunately, I had to replace my shock absorber and fork seals shortly thereafter. One of the reasons I got a dirtbike, and vowed not to take my Monster off-road. Title: Re: Ducatis in AZ picture thread Post by: DucDucDave on May 22, 2008, 07:42:44 AM You know, I don't really. I wasn't the original owner, and he had put over 22k miles on it, so I never felt like it was truly "mine." The 749s more than satisfies my sportbike needs, and the Sporty is perfect for around town and the occasional relaxed cruise. I'm actually content, bike-wise.

Priceless. Nice memories... Just passed through there yesterday. No thunderstorms this time. Some shocking news to report: Santos Mexican Cafe in Patagonia is no more. It is the end of an era. For me, that place was synonymous with motorcycling in southern AZ. Title: Re: Ducatis in AZ picture thread Post by: gilamonster06 on May 29, 2008, 03:41:07 PM Any takers for the S2R? Why not put it in "Monsters for Sale" here on the DMF? Or try ebay like I did to sell my Buell? By the way, how is the move North going?

Keep an eye out for some of the ride and meet-up posts. There is always something going on. Last Sunday we rode to Globe, today we are going to the streetdrags and I am sure we will be getting a ride together next weekend. Also, there is always TT Roadhouse or the Pavillions if you just want to meet some of the usual suspects. Title: Re: Ducatis in AZ picture thread Post by: triangleforge on May 07, 2010, 10:58:07 AM Wow, the thread's more than a year old, and back on page 4 ????
I finally spotted the turnout onto the gravel overlook off White Spar road south of Prescott in time to dart into it AND had a camera in my pocket, so got a couple of shots. Too bad I didn't spend a bit more time arranging the bike, but it's steeper than it looks with a LONG drop on three sides -- I figured dropping the bike in a ravine just to get a better picture wasn't a great tradeoff.
