Spider Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: KingCrimsonCandy on May 09, 2008, 01:20:16 AM RESALE VALUE IS make the beast with two backsED!
Make sure you love it with all your heart, and you'll never let it go. My brother paid $25 k for his Brutale, 18 mths and 8,000 klm later he was lucky to get $13,500! ??? He was pissed off when I got $15k for my Monster (after 20 mths & 11,500klm) and I only paid $15,500 + orc. Definately an enthusiasts machine (F4 looks terrific) Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: Super T.I.B on May 09, 2008, 01:36:40 AM MV Agusta. ;)
And yes, they are special. :) Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: R_usty on May 09, 2008, 03:15:19 AM Yep - would love one in my garage! But I think my next move will be a 1098 or 848.
Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: mattyvas on May 09, 2008, 04:23:04 AM Very nice caught a look at a Brutale at Deus today.
Also did a test ride today but I don't want to contaminate the area. Matty... Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: tricolore on May 09, 2008, 04:05:03 PM Read in Cylce Torque recently that the new Brutale 910r will be $27900 +ORC. The limited editions will have a paint job and rim decals, makes me feel a little better! :D Don't think they will be doing much business at retail $ ???
Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: DUCMONROB on May 09, 2008, 11:22:53 PM Spoke to the head mechanic over at Stoney Creek Motorcycles a couple of months ago.
You think it takes a long time to get parts for your Monster? He said it takes forever for parts for MV's >:( Rob Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: mattyvas on May 10, 2008, 12:19:47 AM yeah not too surprised about that.
Melvin was looking at parts when he was thinking about selling the bling machine. Also even more expensive than Ducati after market. Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: melvin on May 19, 2008, 09:13:34 PM an alternative.............

Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: Super T.I.B on May 19, 2008, 11:19:37 PM talked to the owner today and the first one arrives in july. bit pricey though. actually VERY pricey Yeah, very nice! That quote doesn't surprise me one bit. [roll] Title: MV Augusta Post by: Spider on May 19, 2008, 11:51:16 PM Now, don't get me wrong...other than a Monster I don't really like the look of most bikes, I've learnt to admire 916 to 998 family and of course the 888....also think the four exhaust tips on the F4 is one of the hottest looking things on two wheels...liking the aggression of the Brutale, but that is the upper limit for me.
That Bimota...well if I was riding down the highway and a prime mover went by...well I'd expect it to transform into Optimus Prime and start issuing commands about securing the perimeter. seriously, that headlight fairing is...a little avant-guarde. but to each their own, it's the differences that make us interesting, not a reason to destroy one another. Title: Re: MV Augusta Post by: White Lion on May 20, 2008, 04:52:37 PM Side note: The store is already open in Woolloomooloo(Finger Wharf). Had some Aprilia's out the front yesterday....Which i find a little strange as there is another Aprilia/MV/Guzzi store less than a km away on William Street... Hmmm
