*EDIT* Oh yeah I was only able to find 1 of the walkie talkies, I'll keep looking though. Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: Spidey on September 24, 2008, 02:12:59 PM Who's in race 7? That's 750 Prod and both datv and tigre have non-Production bikes. Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: ROBsS4R on September 24, 2008, 02:18:38 PM I will be riding up Sunday. Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: mostrobelle on September 24, 2008, 02:20:27 PM I think Enzo and I have to do some work stuff in the early afternoon, so we'll be up for the morning only. I'll have to check with him on that to be sure. :'( I think we're planning on riding though. [thumbsup]

Oh I was thinking Open GP...I dun forgotted that the 250 runs in 500 twins... Should be good times. Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: Spidey on September 24, 2008, 04:34:10 PM Open GP is the superbike class for literbikes--basically, if you run a hopped up Gixxer 1000 and aren't racing Formula Pacific. I guess some of the 750s could run in there, but they'd get stomped on. Then again, it's not *that* different than Tigre running a hopped up 749R against all the 1098s in Open Twins. Their usual classes are:
DTM: 250prod (primary), 500T datv: 750sbk, Formula I tigre: Open Twins (primary), 750sbk, Formula I Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: DanTheMan on September 24, 2008, 07:05:13 PM Running 250Sb this weekend also, since im missing Friday and Saturday practice.
Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: smducman on September 25, 2008, 12:12:34 PM I might drive up there on Saturday
Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: Spidey on September 26, 2008, 08:13:13 AM Bump. For those wondering, this is the thread we were talking about last night at the 'geist.
Races are Sunday. Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: TCK! on September 26, 2008, 08:21:54 AM I'm all giddy like a school girl.
What do you guys think about bringing a dog? I'm watching my parents dog while they are away and figure he'd like to out more then sit at the house all day. Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: Spidey on September 26, 2008, 08:23:56 AM Dogs are A-OK in the pits as long as they're on a leash. Remember that DTM often has a harem of yippie dogs there, so make sure your parent's dog gets along with others. And make sure he isn't freaked out by loud noises.

250P 3rd 500T 8th 250SB 2nd The results from this weekend should be enough to secure me a 3rd overall for the year in 250P. Its not locked, but it should be close. Title: Re: AFM races this weekend Post by: Desmostro on September 29, 2008, 08:39:41 PM It was good seeing the guys hit their goals.
DantheMan said in the pits he wanted to get past a couple of particular guys to secure a 3rd place overall. Then he went out and did it after some on-the-track battles. Nice [thumbsup] Tigre and Datv were pretty fun to watch as well. The wheelies were plentiful coming down the hill above the chicane (Turn 9a) [thumbsup] Seemed like a good day on the track. Hopefully they'll elaborate with a race report soon and a video post!
