Name: Hondo
Location: Kansas, USA
Bike(s) (if any): 2005 Triumph Speedmaster
How long you've been riding: Started weekly, weekend enduro bike riding 30 years ago with a bunch of guys. My first street bike is the 2005 bike listed above.
Anything else you'd like to share: I love air-cooled twins of any number of configurations, e.g, v-twins of various degrees (moto guzzi, harley, ducati), parallel twins (triumph), and horizontally opposed twins (bmw). I hardly ever see a Ducati in my small rural town. However, I saw a Monster (don't know cc size) and was totally enthralled, especially by the look and sound. I may be one of the few, but I like the new 696 Monster and the very new 1100 Monster. I was also very interested in the new Harley-Davidson XR 1200 released recently in Europe. But it seems to be a bit portly. Although, I've never ridden it since it hasn't come to the States yet. In any event, I'm looking to upgrade to something in the 1000cc to 1200cc, air-cooled twin, range.
welcome to the board hondo cat.
glad you found us.
;)
Welcome Hondo, good luck in your search for a new twin. [thumbsup]
Welcome to the board.
Welcome Hondo, ;D Hope you didn`t give up the dirt stuff in the 30 years passage. [moto] Dirt skills do lend to street skills, to some degree. Like your taste in bikes, but I am a little biased, as I currently have a 2004 r1150gs BMW for one of my bikes. Do`nt rule out water cooled sport twins altogether though, as there is a lot to be gained in power and consistant operating temps on such critters.( again biased) [roll]
Welcome to the board! Lots of nice folks here--great info and fun is had by all. Enjoy!
