the stock shift rod from the 996 will be a bit short on your s2r. I have a CF rod that is of the correct length if you need it finally getting back to normal here after the hurricane and should be back scanning the dmf a bit more regularly Title: Re: Spare Parts? Or just take it to a welder to have an additional piece of 1" metal welded to the kickstand for extra length. My S4"r" has one like that because after installing the SSS the bike leaned over too much. As far as form and function are concerned, my take is this: #1 that quick fix works well with minimal expense, #2 no one really looks at the stand and if they do, it really isn't noticeable.
