To bad I didn't have time to join you, looks like I missed a great ride.
My abbreviated ride to the crest gave me a chance to get a good feel
for the twisties and let my bike do what it does so well.  :)

Hey JJ my son has HS graduation stuff Mon & Tuesday. Usually free those days. Next week? Would like to take the high road to Taos! Lets ride! Come down to duc night, this tuesday we are leaning towards Two Fools again the owner invited us and said we should call a head and he will hold a table. Let someone or Krystl know if you will come. BTW this is my new name Hyper is retired as I sold the Hypermotard. I have added a 05 S4R to the stable! So now I am a Monster freak or Hunky Punk which is a gargoyle fountain type monster or short for me, Lorenzo.

Rode the crest and then found a back way to the top of the twisties on south 14.  After that went to Coffee at Dawn and who should appear with a mighty rumble.  JJ on his 999.  Had coffee and chatted for a bit then he was off to the crest and I headed home.  Had some things to do so no all day ride today.  I'd post some photos but it seems I'm not allowed.  That option is not available under the "additional options" tab.  Moderator, HELP. >:(

OK.  Got it.

We cant attach pics on this website.  Instead, use shutterfly or photobucket (which I use).   Upload to one of those sites and then when you post a reply here, merely type (http://www.yourphotolinkhere.com)

voila!  photos appear

I was actually thinking "yummmy...." (coffee at dawn).  I am definitely planning on riding Monday and Tuesday.  Just realized I have to call my folks and see if they are going to be in Oklahoma next week.  If so, I need to run over and see them so then no ridin for me till next weekend.  I'll know later this afternoon.

No Oklahoma next week so I am up for a ride Monday, Tuesday, or both.   :D

I think hyperhunkypunk suggested a longer trip, maybe up to Taos, ending at Ojo Caliente in the afternoon.  We can meet you somewhere up near Santa Fe, JJ.  All suggestions welcome!

Hey.  I'm up for a Taos ride.  Haven't been there for a while.  Monday and Tuesday is supposed to be in the low 90's.  Taos would be a nice comfortale (read cool) ride.  What day, what time.

[thumbsup]Perfect...Have to drive and drop the guest at 9:00am on Monday at the airport and should be ready by about 11ish in Santa Fe. If you want to meet up anywhere here around then let me know and we could do the high roads...I drove up that way to Taos today and came down the low roads...No probs... [moto] Wow...can't wait...

Okay, so we set it for Monday around 11AM in Santa Fe.  Where's a good place to meet JJ?  Also, Kawboy, shall we meet in Bernallio somewhere to ride up together around 10AM?  I think hyperdude was interested, but not sure if MOnday will work for him.  Maybe he can change his postal plans for another day.

How about the gas station (I think it's a Conoco) at the I 25 and 550 exit.  It's right next to Denny's and Mickey D's.  10 AM works for me.

Wrong code JJ, you wanna use the one with the [ img] at the front and [ /img] at the back. [thumbsup] It won't have the spaces though, I had to add those to avoid the "X"

Well , I offer my version of the day then, quite similar until things got a little IZ_ after the fudge stop.

It was a fabulous day for riding.  We met up with JJ in Santa Fe.  Since he already noted the route, I'll just post up some pictures.

JJ would like it to go on record that his chickenstrips are considerably diminished from the last time they were posted.

Follwoing the guys through the curves up to Angel Fire, JJ was like a monkey all over his bike:

Fuel Stop in Eagle's Nest:

Fudge Stop in Red River:

Back to Taos before gliding down the canyon and saying goodbye to JJ:

Kawboy wasn't done riding yet so he rode the back way down from Santa Fe and kept me company:

That was a blast, guys!  I'm in a calorie coma from all that yummy fudge.

Yeah, man, I had to get my fudge on.  I bought enough this time to make it out of town, but it's gone today.  Note my tagline.  My passion hath taken vengeance on my leathers.  I am blowing seams everywhere.  Time to cut back or start crawling all over my bike like JJ.  He kneedrops every radius, even into the gas stations.   [laugh]

Hey JJ,
Sorry to see you leave...enjoyed riding with you.
You are right about the Jemez run. I hadn't done it in 20+ years
and was impressed by the scenery and the twisties.
We'll miss you :'(

Glad you had fun...I could have joined you today...They didn't have space for Duc and the Old '72 2-stroke GT750...rest is all gone! But, they took my gears!...Darn...Left to wait for the next truck and I have no helmet or leathers...Misery! [bang]

Word has it that there is some interest in doing the Jemez run again tomorrow morning.
We would stop in Santa Fe to hook up with Dusty and Kingbaby and head towards Jemez Springs.
Options are to continue to ABQ or turn around and do the twisties all over again [moto]
Anyone interested please post up ;)

Not till Sunday for me.  I am taking my bike over in a few here to get my rear tire put on.  Between Ruidoso and ABQ, I actually split a seam!  I am at 7000 miles on that set.  When I left Ruidoso it was fine and I had a tire ordered to go at the 7500 mile service.  I turned white when I noticed it putting the bike away.  A strip of white up the center of the rear.  I paid a $1.20 fee on Hwy 55 south of Mountainair.  I would say Lance and the Paladin were at their posts that afternoon.   :o  Anyway, Sunday afternoon for me and of course, Monday and Tuesday before I give him up for the service.

Listen here young lady.  You got to control the right wrist when the rubber's getting thin.  All the king's horses and all the king's men cannot put bonfy and Lance back together again!  Nor do we want to think about it either!  A$$ chewing session done.   ;)  Do I sound like your daddy?   ;D

The rubber looked fine,I swear.  I thought I was actually replacing the tire a little prematurely.  It's my leathers that are wearing a little thin...Dad.

I gotta go to work now so have at it.

What cool pictures! You are the Beautiful People.   Looks like you guys had a great time.  Did you see any of  PJ's group?  I set my alarm to ride with them since they were leaving a little later, but I set it for PM instead of AM.  I would've only got a quick hour and a half nap so would've been a pull anyway.  I'm wit ya on dat, DucMouse.

Better late than never!  DucMouse and I made it out this afternoon for a make-up session.  DucMouse was breakin' in her new leathers and I was breakin' in my new rear tire (some more).  Not that many twisties between here and Chaco Canyon.

There's the gangsta chica now blowing by me through the turns on the Crest:

Later at the Santa Fe Brewery on North 14:
