Title: What the %$&@ is wrong with my bike? Post by: sugarcrook on May 09, 2008, 10:21:53 AM Yesterday I'm commuting home on the Monster when I notice it sounds... funny. Like more chattery than usual. So I try giving it some gas and the noise goes away a bit. Back off the gas and it's there again. This continues for a while and I'm starting to get pissed off. I curse every Italian I can think of for building this piece of garbage and roll through what could be wrong with it as I pull up to a stop light.
Then I notice a guy on a Harley pulling up behind me and his bike sounds like smashed ass. He was behind me the entire time - farther behind when I was gassing it. Oops. :) Karmic justice - I got a shard of metal in my rear tire about 1/4 mile from home. Title: Re: What the %$&@ is wrong with my bike? Post by: the_Journeyman on May 09, 2008, 10:43:14 AM Sucks about the tire part, but the Harley-interference is crackin' me up!

When I'm on my bicycle, I don't mind being passed by sportbikes, but I hate it when the Harleys go by. They sound horrible, and take forever to pass!
