Title: Google contacts and the iPhone
Post by: Monsterlover on October 07, 2008, 10:01:41 AM
My old version of outlook won't sync with my iPhone.

I exported all the contacts to a .csv file, imported that to Google contacts and all is well.

NOW im wondering if I make changes to outlook, then re-export to .csv and re-import that to GC, will it overwrite any contacts i've previously added to my phone (which then get synced to GC?)

Im making changes to the phone, and to outlook separately but want to have all my contacts in GC, and thusly my phone.

This will work?  or no?

I've had problems with my iPhone and outlook too.  I have lost some numbers with custom tags (like, work, home, etc - but the custom ones I made)

Outlook 2007 or newer should work fine, but I run 2003 (work laptop) and it won't let us upgrade it (even with legit software)

See that is my issue... it will not do anything but a few security updates now.  I have 2003, and never use it (I use gmail), and MS won't let me upgrade it anymore.
