make a set of carbon fiber bars for motorcycles in general. I have been using carbon bars on my XC/Free ride mountain bikes for like 10 years now without a failure, and they certainly take way more abuse than that of a motorcycle. The vibration dampning the CF gives is truly night and day, and they are just as strong, if not stronger than aluminum. Cost can't be an issue because people will buy them no matter what they cost, look at all of the people buying CF fenders just for looks ?? Carbon bars would actually be useful. If someone knows where I can get a set for my 696 please give me a link. Thanks! Although I have never taken off a set Ducati controls it is my understanding you have to drill into the bar to keep the control from turning. I wouldn't want to use a carbon bar on my bike if i had to drill holes in it. I have seen them break on mountain bikes due to being clamped to tight. Unlike aluminum, carbon does not bend; it just breaks! A little double-stick tape under the clamp takes care of the twisting.
