Title: Higher bar advice Post by: Gramps on October 08, 2008, 02:07:02 PM [moto] It looks like my next step in trying to get my bars set up the way I want them is to go with the Rizoma bars. The way I understand it they will give me one more inch up and an inch or so back. As it sits right now my 08 S2R 1000 has the standard bar with Genmar riser. I tried to find some information on a "Monster City Bar" but only saw it talked about. Could not find any information or vendor. If anyone has any other advice or just wants to let me know I'm on the right track please feel free to respond.

i tried bar risers on my s4rs but was not to impressed with the clamping so i changed the bar risers and ducati handle bars for rizoma bars and wow what a difference they made.the rizoma bars move your hands back approx.2inch's back and up a little higher than the stock bars with bar risers in place.the rideing position is more up right which suits my old body. I ended up getting a MV Brutale handlebar. Not the cheapest solution but I needed a new handlebar irregardless. The install is almost complete and I will post a detailed write up in the next several weeks for those who are interested.
