I need help here and it is time to confess that I just don't understand the appeal of motards. We own a couple of dual sports and love em.
I just don't understand why I would want to have the same bikes with street tires and smaller dia wheels. Please explain. ??? ???

the duke was...
light.... flickable.... easy to hoist the front..... very buzzy at idle and low rpms (it made my nose itch like crazy)
It made going slow fun (not that it's a slug)
It's like riding a dirtbike on the street. If I were 18 again, .... I'd be tearing across peoples yards and riding wheelies through entersections [evil], but if I had the money, it would be a great back and forth to work bike.
The super duke was....
like riding my old m900, only sitting more upright.

They're super easy to tip over, lean at ridiculous angles, lighter weight, and it is a lot like riding a motorized mountain bike on the street. That said, the Duke 3 is definitely more street oriented than my SMC in the pic above. The new 690 LC4 motor is supposed to be a lot smoother (less vibey) than the older LC4 (like my orange paintshaker), but also a bit pricier than the older LC4 bikes.

Yeah, I could get a hyper motard for 500 more...
Hmmm. Looks like Buell is finally using the parent companys flagship colors.
