October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I personally have known 3 people who have been effected by breast cancer. As I am sure many of you have known someone as well. I run a vinyl decal business online and to do our part in helping the fight against breast cancer, we are offering a 4" tall by 2" wide pink ribbon decal. We will donate $1 per each decal purchased to helpfight against breast cancer. We will continue to offer this decal past October and at the end of each month we will make the accumulated donations to various orginizations. Here is a link to the decal.

Eichh,
Whatever you do don't watch this week's South Park.
Thanks for bringing this to attention. [thumbsup]
I recently sponsored a group walk outside Boston through my company, Joie de Vivre Event Productions.

"As far as life changing events, it's even bigger than getting pregnant. Because you can't just drown cancer in the sink."
My mom is in the hospital dying of breast cancer right this minute. She has had a hard fight these last few years, it's been tough on all of us. Even still, I still don't support Human embryo T- Cell research.
Sorry to hear that man.
sorry to hear about loved ones with cancer. may you and your family do what you have to do to make it through.
i do support human embreyo stem cell research. I've seen too many family and friend die from breast, lung, brain, and bone cancer to not support research in possible cures for these diseases utilizing what would normally be literally thrown in the garbage for non use.

The widespread practice would lead to "embryo farming", that is, the killing of thousands of people so that the recipients could be.. Lets call them "Vampires"
Yes that's right, the cure would extend their lives for a few more years at the expense of someone else. We all die sooner or later.
Besides there are other places to get T cells from. Umbelical cords for one. They don't need to get them from embryos. For that matter the current practice of having all these excess embryos needs to stop as well but certainly widespread human T cell research would almost certainly expand the need for embryos.
Prolly a better discussion for the Politics section....

Thanks just pray for a speedy end. I figure she only has a week or two. It's pretty ugly at this point. I have to take care of her in ways that I thought I would never have to do. Cleaning up the Barf & Urine, Etc.

My wife got me a tee shirt "Save a life... grope your wife!"
Couple generations of breast cancer on both her side and my side. We take groping very seriously in our house. ;D

However... I think she is fervently regretting the tee shirt purchase now.
Mendodave I know what your going through and sympathize,2 years ago my grandfather was in a Hospice for 4 months just withering away. They took great care of him there but it was terrible watching him suffer like that. He had the asbestose type of cancer. I was there when he passed and the really wierd thing is it was the same room my grandmother passed in a year and a half ago from a stroke during surgery. About the only thing you can do is lean on the family thats around you to get through the terrible ordeal.
Mendodave, after my loss someone sent me a card with a beautiful Irish blessing I pass on to you:
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace to you.
I wish you all the best. I know it's tough. Hang in there. You'll make it.

Maybe. Or maybe not. [evil]
Prayers for MendoDave. I have seen the devastation of The Big C firsthand, and you have my sympathy. :-\
