Yeah, no shit.  I was thinking the same thing.

My first race was in 108 degree heat (thank Antelope Valley) and I only had to do 6 laps and was dead-ass tired afterwards.  I can't even imagine doing the equivalent of say 30 laps would've been like.

And yes, the race was kinda boring.  It was pretty obvious from the moment that Rossi got onto Dani's back wheel that he was gonna win the race.

I was really disappointed in Hayden.  When he took 3rd, he left the inside line COMPLETELY open going into the next corner.  If he would've taken even a slightly defensive line, he coulda had 3rd.

Nicky made way too many mistakes to podium today, both with strategy and technique.

I'd like to have seen Nicky on the podium just to hear what the interview question could be.

+1

Even had Nicky closed up and not let Dovi by after he made the pass, Hayden was running wide far too often and Dovi would have gone underneath him within a lap anyway.  Hayden rode ok, but not worthy of the podium.

Pedrosa: Honda are closing on Yamaha (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/71590)

"At the end Rossi was faster than me," he admitted. "Usually at the end he puts on pressure and it's difficult to follow him, but we were closer this time."

no doubt that he obviously got a lot faster from friday to sunday.. but 4 second gap = closer?  ....ooook....

The way Valentino left Pedrosa immediately after the pass the gap could have been 10 seconds...

if Rossi wanted. ;)

The only reason Pedrosa was within spitting distance was due to him pulling out an advantage on the straights.  Rossi closed it up on the technical sections every time.  I enjoy Rossi not having the outright speed the last um... 4 years though.  It would be back to his ridiculous "management" of victories.

if there was an RC advantage in the straights it was teeny.  rossi stayed on his back wheel for many laps then gapped him by 4 seconds.  that sounds like faster everywhere.

granted, as per pedro vs rossi all the time, if there was any straight line advantage rossi made it up in braking on the very next corner.
