Title: Looking for Dragon run buddy
Post by: Slide Panda on October 17, 2008, 08:24:59 AM
So I'm trying to cobble together a run down to the Dragon the last weekend of Oct.  It's be a long weekend - probably take off on the morning of the 30th and be back on the 2nd.  The plan is to link up with JBubble en route, over night in Charlottle then head west to the Bubble family cabin in Cashiers nc and ride Western NC for portions of Friday and Sat.. then turn for DC Sunday AM.

There a free accommodation's being offered, though it might mean a night on a couch and space is limited.  So is there are hale and hardy soul interested in joining me?  I've got not trailer nor truck - so it's bike all the way.

- Looking for 1, maybe 2 folks to go with.  The cabin sleeps 4.  Anymore and you're sleepin' outside.

Bad idea IMHO, the GAP that is, Cashiers is cool though as long as you head west and north, 28 and 107 are good, 64 looks good on the map but it's not one golf retirement community after another. Tons of good roads, anyway if you want some routes I might know a few ways to get there, they don't include Charlotte however. You know my rules, just send me an email if interested. - Gene

This trip's purpose is to ride the Gap. If you don't wish to ride the gap then this is not the trip for you.

Yuu knows this but the reason we're hitting Charlotte is because I live here in Charlotte. Yuu and whoever else wants to join will meet me in Richmond on Thursday as I'll be there on business and then follow me home so I can get my bike. On friday we will head to cashiers. Saurday is the gap.

That is the plan.

I'm just funnin'  - though that comment's totally open to interpretation.

- I chatted a bit with Bubble over the weekend and it seems that 3's (inc Bubble) sort of the capacity limit for the accommodations.  3 visitors will make for some undue strains.

Looking forward to it!  Can we get CB's and talk like truckers on the way?
"Come-back, ya hear?"
