This is for the full size Chuck-It.
Here's an easy mod to get some more distance: Merely wrap some duct tape tightly around the shaft in several layers from the head to about 1/3 way down. Pay special attention to the area directly beneath the head. Especially helpful if you use the heavier Chuck-It brand balls. You'll immediately notice the extra "spring" and the head won't feel like it's "rolling over" at the point of release. Sorry I don't have a pic but I'm sure you get the idea.
Nice mod [thumbsup] Will try this tonight ;D
Let's see: "... wrap some duct tape tightly around the shaft in several layers from the head to about 1/3 way down. Pay special attention to the area directly beneath the head... you'll immediately notice the extra "spring" and the head won't feel Like it's "rolling over" at the moment of release."
Cheaper than Enzyte!! ;D
^^ Alright I can see your head is right in the gutter. We're gonna get along fine. Just fine indeed... [cheeky]
there will be no ducttape wrapped around my shaft no matter what it does for me at the point of release.
no way no how.

what if you put a layer of underwrap on it first?
and it helps you do your civic duty....

This is what the post is supposed to be about... [roll]
we know. sorry.
My St. won't run after a ball that's farther than I can throw regularly anyway. I'd have to modify my dog before modifying a chuck-it.
When we used to go out with other dogs to play, all the dogs would start running after the balls at the same time. Cleo would stop half way when the shepards reached the balls. One of the shepards would get Cleo's ball too, and all the dogs would start running back to us at the same time (Cleo having gone only half way). She'd come back looking so happy and proud of herself.
Well, you already put fork reflectors on her, so what's stopping you?
