Title: Total loss...
Post by: Le Piou on October 23, 2008, 09:08:47 AM
My insurance Representative:
"Based on the comparables located, typical mileage for a 2007 Ducati Monster S2R1000 would be 5,520. The mileage on your bike is 17,645. There was a reduction based on the higher than typical miles. At typical mileage, the market value would be 8,871. There was a deduction of $1,575 (due to the mileage) resulting in the market value of $7296. "...

Guys, could you PLEASE ride a little more... I just lost $1600 because YOU don't ride enough!!!! [bang]

20,000 miles is typical for a '07, right? Or am I a little higher than average?

Damn, that sucks. I hope you can argue that one.

I got 30k on a bike bought with no miles in '06 It's an '04 though, so not the faintest how it'd work out.

just advise your insurance adjustor that you made an honest mistake, and quoted them the mileage in kilometers.

17,645 km = approx. 10,964 miles

your still above average mileage ... but only by 1.98 times, rather than 3.19 times ;D
