Title: Photos: Mendocino Coast
Post by: sonofabike on October 23, 2008, 08:56:25 PM
When one scoots around the coast and sticks of Mendocino County, shooting pics sometimes (unfairly, I admit) becomes an afterthought.  So here are a pathetic few that I did snap one cold and foggy morning last weekend.  [ On Flickr (http://flickr.com/photos/oyj/sets/72157608322905739/) ]

Excellent shots...

So does your vanity plate mean (A) that your bike breaks down a lot or (B) that you're into hipster nascar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velodrome)?

[laugh] Bingo.  All of the above.  Sort of.

A) Il monstro was brought back from the dead.

B) I <3 my no-freewheel pedalers, and as much as I dig the velodrome, it isn't my scene.  I much prefer the open road.  LOTS of it (Exhibit A (http://sonofabike.com/journals/2007_DVFallDC.htm), Exhibit B (http://sonofabike.com/journals/2007_alc.htm))

Great shots.   [thumbsup]  I always like looking at your photos.  Oh, and you're crazy.  200 miles on a fixed gear?   [bow_down]  Wow, but no thanks.   [laugh]

Nice pix!

I often pack a camera on rides, and then I get so into the riding thing I don't want to stop. I'll think to myself, "gee, that would have been a good shot", but I never take the time and turn around to get it.  I should learn to slow down more.  ;)

Keep the shots coming!
