Looks like eastern Europe and these guys are flying? Guy on the gixxer backs it in 4 or 5 times on the edge of front and rear grip at 60+mph....insane!!! Watch the on board camera shutter as he does it.

woah... :o
those guys are insane. i kept expecting one of them to crash at any moment. way too fast for me in the street with all that traffic.
Yeah they're freakin' nuts. They can also ride they're asses off.
I want to see the view from the camera on the back of the 999. wt:
What center line? What blind corners? That is insane. Looks like they have a death wish. Very talanted riding though.
wow, that was crazy.

Hello there from greece , this is where this video is taken from. The route is Ag.Ioannis in athens... This guys are very experienced drivers and they made this video for commercial reasons only. They know the route blindfolded maybe you cant see from the onboard camera and it gives the impression that some of the curves are blind but their not. The tarmac quality is good because its new. The video given is not the original posted in youtube .
Here are the original posts enjoy them. Also they are very skilled drivers i would say :)

Holy crap, that guy comes a red c hair from a head on at about 2:25 in the first link. In frickin sane.
And is it just me, or is his body crossed up in the corners?
Those dudes are in Greece I believe. Seen that all over the Triumph forum a while back. Sick skills, but all kinds of stupid to do that on a public street.
I bet they had fun.
looks like they could have stayed in their lane if they wanted to, which may or may not make a difference to people.
Half way through watching it my son comes downstairs. "What'cha watchin'? " he says. I felt like I'd been caught watching porn :-[. "uhhh..Just two highly-skilled idiots" I says. r:e)
I know there are at least a half dozen places in that vid where I would have been on the ground. I'll leave that kind of riding to the more skilled and less "testicularly challenged" members here. wt:

Not so sure about that. They can twist the throttle, but there were several turns where they very clearly changed their commitment to the turn a few times.

Having ridden in many places all over Europe I will say that there are many spots that require a mid-corner line adjustment. Especially in eastern and southern Europe.
All squidliness aside, the dude on the 999 had some skills.
That is great to watch but I dont think I would have the balls to do that with cars on the road.

Damn right.. and it was yellow. All the fastest Ducs are yellow ;D
the 999 was smooth and they adjusted lines because they had to i.e. traffic, pavement, etc. I still can't get over the guy backing the GSXR in at those speeds.
+1 for posting this
-1 for them not being able to stay in the correct lane. They can out ride me any day but public road = never know what coming towards you and staying in your lane at lest when there is not any traffic in your lane.
:o
We've seen videos from those Greek guys in here..well in TOB before. They are flippin insane..and..
I LOVE IT!!

Balls man!!!! unbelievably crazy those two guys!!!!whooah!!!!!

My pleasure. The Greek Police cant do nothing about that. And Trust me thats nothing compared to other things happening in the greek roads. If you ll notice in the videos all kind of greek Bike videos. most of the Bikes dont have any license plates. Thats avoid radars and cops. Even if a cop gives them a notice to stop its like telling them to speed more and just go... in 93% of the bikers accidents with a car its the cars fault. Only 7% the bkers mistake. And most of them in the city not outside on the national roads...
With respect...
Wow that's way to crazy for me. [evil]
That gixxer was definately twitchy in the corners. Worn out tires? Someone commented on the youtube link of needing a slipper, but some of them looked like maybe using the rear break and locking it up a little. The engine didn't rev up with every one that happened.
That and it was really loose coming out of the turns under medium throttle. I know it has power, but should have hooked up better than that I would think.
Looks like fun if there wern't so many cars!
Insane,insane..........I guess is just two guys on their weekend canyon run, after working all week.
Later.
I immediately knew the guy on the Gixxer was the cameraman because the tach had a redline on it [laugh]
that's some nuts riding!
i'd seen the video with the logo splash screen before, but not the other one.
That's the kind a shit that has me going to federal court soon.
The cops were way pissed that I was so old. That playing the "gray" card doesn't always work.
LA
... what pansy's... there "racing" on the street yet there not doing 100%, why bother.
Totally insane! And a bit foolish if you ask me. Looks like a popular road for motorcycles though. Was the speedo really in MPH, or was it kilometers?
Holy sh!t Balls. That was awsome, dumb and beautiful all in one.
So the double yellow lines aren't as slippery there as in the states?
those guys have lost it ???

Im sure they're still slippery, they are just too crazy to worry about yellow paint ;D
Why title that clip "street race"? It was not a race at all, it was a GSXR filming a 999 doing the business. That's all! At any time during that whole clip the GSXR could have slapped the 999 on the ass and showed him how it's done! But since this is a copy of a ducati world, I suppose you can read it any way you like! [thumbsup]
It's sh1t like this that gives us all a bad name in the publics' eye. I like haulin ass as much as the next guy (well ok, mebbe more than the next guy) but beyond the "braking" skills, I saw nothing else other than being braindead. Anyone can cross over the centerline to make a corner or maintain control. You got skills when you can keep it in your own lane, in my book! Most of those passes were beyond braindead. ???
Flame away...
Just watched it again on the big screen. Pretty sure the speedo is reading kilometers/hour. (After all, they are in Greece, right?) Otherwise those guys would have exceeded 200 MPH a few times, and I don't think that's possible. Still some crazy-ass-balls-to-the-wall-riding though. :o But I agree that guys like this give motorcyclists a bad rep. And you shouldn't push it that far unless on a track, IMO.
Sort of reminded me of some of the riding I've done and lived to ride again. Not with so much lane splitting with trucks coming the other way though. The first rider looked pretty smooth where as the second rider I felt was just hanging on many times. Not a good idea to do that much in the US. It's such an adrenaline rush that you tend to ride above your comfort zone and then you have to be perfect or 99.9% perfect or you're going to the hospital or worse.Fun to watch.
No doubt they are skilled (much more skilled than me), but this is just stupid squids...either stay in your lane or take it to the tracks.
:o :o :o Crazy riding skills but totally stupid.
thread from the dead, but it was a good one [moto]
you know its not "riders like these" that give motorcyclists a bad name.
its people that are looking for "excuses" to give riders a bad name that then say "all riders are bad" when seeing this.
a few bad or irresponsible people don't give an entire group a bad name, its people that want to give a bad name to a group of people that give "that group a bad name".
afterall if "people like this" give a group a bad name, then that whole other thread about the woman that wanted her smelly crotch eaten would give "all women a bad name" but that is just not true. unless of course you are looking to just do that. [laugh] [laugh]
there's like, 50 butt pucker moments in there :o
I think what got me the most.. as in amazing... is where he would lose the front end and recover and never lose speed. i mean i've heard of people recovering from losing the front tire, but this guy looked like he did it all the time on purpose.
I just watched the trilogy 4 times.
Did the triple 9 come in yellow in 05?
i got to say the guy on camera is a lot smoother than the guy on the bike with the camera.
I didn't think yellow Ducatis could go that fast. [laugh]
Isle of Man, Greek style.
Oba!!
I know a few guys that used to ride on the street like that.
They lived long enough to only ride hard at the track.

I hate to burst your bubble, but his speedo is in km/h. Still crazy though.
Oh cool.
Looks like somebody found my vacation video from when I was in Greece.
:)
Personally, I think the guy riding the Suzook wasn't backing it in, he was panic braking with the rear. Watch where he is entering the corners, completely in the wrong place. Watch where the Ducati is, he is in the right place, the Zook was always running off the inside of the turns, when he was, ahem, "backing it in". It appears the Ducati guy, and this isn't any bias on my part, was much smoother and just messing with the Suzuki guy, doing wheelies, looking back, riding smooth. The GSXR guy was all over, and appearing to be locking his wheel, not backing it in.
stoopid make the beast with two backss
it's one thing to ride above the norm on the street.... but crossing over on blind corners over and over and putting others into harms way is borderline criminal.

No Ducati's but in the same vein as the other videos posted (half way through the pair get to the highway).

I like the idea of everyone MUST be passed on one wheel. [thumbsup]
Kind of an ongoing theme throughout.
Anymore? I just bought Orville Redenbachers Movie Theater Popcorn.
Fail - both of them. [thumbsdown]
I don't give those guys any credit what-so-ever.
I'd use this video as an example of what not to do.
Bottom line - If you want to ride like that, find a track and ride your ass off. But don't put other people at risk because you want to ride like an asshat.
...end rant.
Nice to see what my bike can do. Cause I will never be able / willing / stupid enough (emphasis on "able") to do it.

Honestly, I agree. they might be able to ride their ass off, but they about rode that minivans ass off in to the woods.
