Title: Acculign rearsets
Post by: killerniceguy on October 27, 2008, 10:15:17 AM
I emailed Mark at Acculign inquiring into the possibility of rearsets for the S2R/S4R Monsters.  I have seen his work on bikes up here, his work is very good. Looks like there could be another option for us S*R owners.  His response is below:

Jeff,

Thanks for your interest in my rearsets.  Unfortunately, I do not make
them for your bike.  I want to.  I just haven't had time to design much
new stuff over the past couple of years.  We've just completed moving into
our new building, and we should be powering up the machines soon.
Hopefully I will be able to get back to designing new products this
winter.  The remaining Ducatis are at the top of my list.

Thanks again,

Mark Essinger
Acculign, Inc.

Hopefully he'll do some stuff for the other Monsters as well, they make very sweet hardware.

Us poor DSS folks..

I've asked him about every 1.5 years about rearsets for DSS Monsters.  IT went from 'no plans at all' to 'highly unlikely' at least.  Maybe the next step is 'well there's a small chance'

I really dig the stuff they make and from reviews, it's top notch.  Hopefully they will expand their Ducati offerings - even if they never make it to my bike.

Acculigns look great, but why don't manufacturers make folding pegs to prevent frame damage in a crash?  It seems my only alternative is Rizoma.
