Smart car already had a convertible that somewhat like this a few years back.
That mini Ferarri looks cool though! [laugh]

What? - The devil you say! I'd never waste a little of my time on something like a stupid int0rwebz chat place thing...
I'd waste countless hours..
Wonder how much work it would take to do those body work mods for real. It'd be cool to do something like the Smorche and then drop a motorcycle engine into it instead so it actually looks cool and has some go.

I would need to be shortened to actually fit into one, so unless you're a midget.....
Those remind me of "Penny Racers".

I was thinking along the same lines, just couldn't remember what they were called! :)
Smerari 3.60 Modena.
Were I wee, I'd rock that shit.
As is is, I'm jolly and green.
Relatively speaking.

Penny Racers, Stompers, Zoids, Transformers. Hello 1980's toys! This could be another thread methinks...

Another reason you're one of my idols.
The Stompers would go like crazy with an AAA battery and a small block of tin-foil to make up the difference of length between the AA & AAA batteries.
Used to race them in 4th grade outside before school started. I never took the body off mine and I never lost either! Hahahaha.... Trouble with the AAA battery was that it didn't last for shit so I used to keep a spare with me 'just in case'...

+1 I friggin' loved Stompers!
No sister to torture though...but I did chase the dog with mine. ;D
The cats I lived with growing up took great pride in attacking my Stompers ~

Stompers ruled. :)
I had a Bronco one that I put wheels and tires from a 1/24 scale model 4x4 pickup and did a body lift on it for the new rolling stock to clear. It rocked and all the neighborhood kids wanted it. 8)
I got a yellow Toyota pickup on my birthday (dunno how old I was, but I have pics), and one of the Stomper Peterbuilt trucks.
I never did use the foam tires though.
I think I had one of the swamp tire ones too.

That was the original intent of R/C cars. [evil]
Looking for visual aids for this post, and came across this:

Maybe time to revisit R/C, even if I don't have pets.
