But I do play Everquest.
Anyone else play?
Still playing everquest? I thought all their subscribers moved to WOW.
i'm more for the single-player CRPG. like the elder scrolls series.
everquest and WoW always seemed like a sure-fire way for me to both spend money, and eliminate all my free time. that, and having seen what WoW has done to some friends of mine... no thanks.
*shrugs*
There's still a lot of people that play EQ. I like it, I'm not very good. I got into it when my husband created an account "for me" (really just an excuse to create another account, I don't think he actually expected me to play...) and I actually started playing.
Yeesh, are you serious?! You must be hardcore if you're still playing EQ. I've sworn off all MMORPGs for all time... give me a racing game instead. At least I can put those down
Was thinking about picking up Warhammer but now that things fell through w/ my girlfriend of 1.5 years I need to get outa the house and meet people. [roll]
I played everquest 2 for a few years. I have been cold Turkey for about a year now. It was tough to give it up with my addictive personality.
The problem is when I played I had to do all the end game content and raid. I couldnt be a casual player =(
This is how much of a geek I am. I dropped Vox as a server First back in the day among a bunch of other Server firsts. I also had the most Mana worldwide as a Wizard etc for a period of time.... Pathetic huh :-\

I played everquest 2 for a few years. Then I discovered the opposite sex. I have been cold turkey for about a year now.

To the OP..just accept that living in the NW makes you a geek! [cheeky]
i think i need glasses...
i thought this topic read: I'm not a greek, really...
[laugh] :-\
Swore off it after about 3 months of grinding up to level 65. It's just punitive now that the max level is soon to be 80.
All the top-level gear is a function of how many 20-mans you can be part of. Just too punitive.
Back to playing the 360. Fallout 3 and Castle Crashers are getting my attention right now.

a smidgen of D&D 2nd edition.
alternity.
call of cthulhu (chaosium, not d20).
Yep. Played D&D as recently as about 5 years ago (pre wife, pre kids)
Good excuse to hang with friends for an evening, bullshit and have fun.
Tried playing WoW with the same group, but it just wasn't as much fun.
Besides, I eventually hit the "Holy crap. This game is actually more tedious than my REAL LIFE." wall.
