thats way past the limit on the streets. Not to mention that he lost the front and rear several times. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: redxblack on November 01, 2008, 03:29:44 PM Even if that's KM/h, that was insane, dangerous and the reason some people rightfully hate sport bikes. I just hope he doesn't take any innocent lives with his own out there.

Post by: bmonty72 on November 04, 2008, 09:21:11 AM I kept waiting for a car to pop up around one of those corners. I guess maybe they were european and not sure which side of the street they were supposed to be on. Or maybe they are undecided voters and spending equal time on each side of the line??? [bang]
Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Statler on November 04, 2008, 10:28:49 AM When I rode with a bunch of DMFers, a sportbike came the other direction scraping his knee and not wearing a helmet. We all chatted about it later how much of an ass he was and what he was doing wasn't right for the conditions. On that ride we passed a lot of HDs. Sometimes on double yellows and sometimes at triple digits. I'm pretty sure they later stood around and all chatted about what asses we were and that what we were doing wasn't right for th conditions.
Find your own level of craziness. (yes I think this vid is too far on the craziness side) Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Rob Hilding on November 04, 2008, 11:21:58 AM lane sharing at it's finest [roll]
Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Triple J on November 04, 2008, 12:13:47 PM Not to mention that he lost the front and rear several times. Way too fast and reckless on the street or me, but I don't think he ever "lost" the front or rear. The front always seemed pretty stable, and he appeared to be sliding the rear on purpose into corners. Looked like he spun up the rear on a few corner exits as well. Looks like a cool road...except for the traffic. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: ducpainter on November 04, 2008, 03:09:24 PM I watched the vid...
and read a couple of replies... some people are better off dead. :-\ Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: superjohn on November 04, 2008, 03:18:46 PM Gimps like these make me mad because I get associated with this type of behaviour just because I ride a motorcycle.
People. DO AN F---ING TRACK DAY!! Stop with the stupid street shit. That is all. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: cbartlett419 on November 05, 2008, 09:17:22 PM yeah but self control sucks [moto]

Looks like a cool road...except for the traffic. I am interested in what was going on in some of those turns. I think I equate "loosing it" with crashing but it seemed he must have been on the very edge of it. There were many instances where it seemed the front of the bike was almost skipping across the road. You could even hear the difference in the audio. What was happening there? And how do you slide the rear on purpose? Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: duc996 on December 01, 2008, 11:31:03 PM That's the reason why cagers hate bikers, insane!

If you watch one right hand corner in particular, his rear wheel speed drops off about 20km/h (breaking traction) approaching the apex before matching up. Title: Re: A date with death. But i wouldnt like to hang out with guys who ride on the edge like that on city streets. Seriously, find a track. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: DucofWestwood on December 10, 2008, 07:21:22 PM i missed the part of the MSF course where they teach you to ride like that ... must only be part of the European version of the course ...
Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Porsche Monkey on December 17, 2008, 10:52:01 AM Friend of a friend... Still alive, amazingly.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSrqBcrlujs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSrqBcrlujs) Ivan your friend of a friend is perhaps the biggest bag of douche I have yet to see on youtube. That was putting other peoples lives at risk, not to mention at the end of the video when the sun went down. Yes I will pass cars and other bikes but in a respectable way. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: BastrdHK on December 26, 2008, 11:50:45 AM You are spot on. He is an idiot. (but he did pass a police car at 150km/h ;D) The Greeks in the first video do some pretty amazing things on that stretch of road that they know like the bike of their hand, but riding to the edge like that in traffic you are placing your trust, and quite literally your life, in the ability of the other drivers on the road to obey traffic laws. In my experience you would have better luck catching a bullet with Angel Soft. My ass puckered when the gsxr backed it in while passing on the outside of a right hander with oncoming traffic. They practice a lot and they are good at it on this particular highway, but I am concerned one of their wannabies/fans will be coming the opposite direction during one of these filming sessions. Are the painted lines not slick in Europe???....the roads are rough as hell, and damn if they don't trust their rubber! Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Capo on December 26, 2008, 04:07:47 PM In the UK, the police have a special unit that looks at these clips posted on youtube, if they determine that it was in the UK, then they will investigate it.
They tracked one guy down from a dealers number on the keyfob. The courts then throw the book, including incarceration. If you crash your motorcycle and have a video camera attached, they will seize the camera to check for evidence that you were breaking the law. And the footage helps them to decide where to apply enforcement measures. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Porsche Monkey on December 28, 2008, 08:31:21 AM Maybe I should hold off on buying that video camera. [cheeky]
Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Capo on December 29, 2008, 09:41:26 AM It's pretty stupid to film yourself breaking the law.
And even more stupid to broadcast it to the world. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: wbeck257 on December 29, 2008, 11:39:56 AM It's pretty And even more fixed. Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: JetTest on January 02, 2009, 05:17:24 PM I agree, the guy's in the videos are pushing way past the limit. That said, I sure felt alot safer splitting lanes on a rented RSV at 200 klicks in Italy then I do following traffic here in the US at 70mph.
Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Capo on January 02, 2009, 07:15:46 PM P.S. United Kingdom today makes me think about "1984"... [leo] The majority of the people who live here would agree with you. We just can't figure out what to do about it (democratically ). Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: JetTest on January 03, 2009, 06:29:52 AM Yes, you have to love a place were you can show the guy your passport and motorcycle license, flip him 85 euro and he turns you loose on the likes of an RSV, 998 or MV F4 in the mountains around Rimini, San Marino and San Leo for the afternoon. Classic mountain switch-backs and some good blasts on the autostrada. Police cars even move to the right to let you by!
Title: Re: A date with death. Post by: Lord_Bragle on January 15, 2009, 06:28:28 PM These nutters show incredible skills like extreme snowboarders and base jumpers, but should be hung drawn n quartered and shot and strung up by their buster browns.
