Title: well it's DONE!!
Post by: muskrat on November 03, 2008, 07:05:08 PM
I'm now engaged.   ;D
Elizabeth and the white Monster will soon be chasing me on the bike as well.  [moto]

I do need a bit of help though.  Her bike will not go into neutral (just started this) while running.  When you turn it off it goes right in.....weird....suggestions?  Also, the clutch engage/disengage is very short.  Suggestions on this too please.

Thanks all

I see how you are. Buy her a bike to get her to say yes huh? I see. Damn your one smart cookie! And a good judge of character too! Many Congrats Amigo, Here's hoping you two have a lifetime of happy riding and no bumps in the road.  [clap] A big welcome Elizebeth and congrats also.

Ok, Tommy, here we go again, "yeah, she married up".  [thumbsup]

obviously I couldn't say no to another bike, rarely do these days (I'm on a motor diet for now though).  you could say this was the fly paper I needed to ensure a YES from her.  ;)

Not knowing your wonderful bride to be can I please talk you out of this? Hey, take no offense, either of you, but it's my duty as a guy! [bang] Been there... twice. Just saying! As long as the bikes are there first (not community property!!) you are sort of OK. But when they start to "disappear" for furniture and curtains you are totally screwed. Forever. We will never see you again. Get her trained now to be accepting of bikes and bike friends or you are doomed. I have an advantage, sort of, I have been riding longer than my wife has been alive. Yeah, try and trump that? [laugh] [thumbsup] [moto] [drink] Good luck!! Hey, and seriuosly... congratulations! ;)

been there already.  In fact, I said NEVER again and here I am.  [drink]  The bikes and dog are non-negotiable PERIOD!  I actually took her on our first date 9 years ago and rode up to Wichita Falls in the rain there and back...she's hooked.

And thanks.

Wow, it only took you 9 years. I'd say you've gotten this one figured out if she's stayed this long ! She looks like a keeper dude.  [thumbsup]

it's a long story but I'll give you the short version.  Basically we dated as far back as 9 years and I left her because I'm an idiot.  Met my now ex wife shortly after and upon my divorce we re-connected as friends which led to this.  There, all done.

Just consider that a practice run for the real thing!! Now that you've gotten all the nonsense out of the way you are much more ready this time I'm sure. I bet she was worth waiting for!! [thumbsup] All good things happen if you are patient enough... the exception is my wife waiting for me to change of course!!! [laugh] Are we all invited to the wedding??? I do killer karaoke!!! [clap] [popcorn] [beer]

Getting the hell out of Dodge is a really good idea. [thumbsup] I wish Jen and I had done that. Except I would have had to pay for all her family and friends... I think I had three people on my side and that counts my sister and brother!
