A 749 and an R1200S got schwasted on at a Halloween party and forgot to use a condom.
I think it looks great! Reminds me of the Ducati Scrambler (newer one off one)
nice tail chop [thumbsup]
The only BMW i'd ever own bike wise, think it looks great [thumbsup] If ducati made a scrambler conversion kit for my s2r i'd do it in a second
Looks good. Sometimes BMW can get it right, other times ???.
That is a sweet bike.

I agree.
Of course the exhaust would be hard to handle, but perhaps the sections near the rider's body could be made of double-walled, ceramic coated special pipes that do not transfer heat to the rider. Maybe a carbon fiber covering would work. I have carbon fiber mufflers on my Monster. After a ride I can touch the mufflers without being burned.
bike looks great except for the absolutely horrible headlight and tail chop.
that single seat thing without something behind it is awful.
the exhaust looks great though.
Lovely! The number plate seems a bit silly, though; I can't imagine it being all that dirtable. Of course, the 1200GS can handle it, so, why not?
And I agree that the headlight / bracket needs a little more love.
I'm loving the bobber tail! SSS with spokes? I say [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [clap]
that reminds me of cellis bike that was just featured as bike of the month
that's pretty sweet... [drink]
guys, i'm freaking out! how's it staying upright?!
Equal parts:
1. Triumph Scrambler
2. KTM Duke
3. BMW HP2
4. Confederate Hellcat
5. Alien
...the everyman's bike?
I think they could pull it off...the only problem is that nobody rides the above bikes!
Time to put it in a movie. Or have Obama riding it in a commercial. People go crazy over that guy.
That BMW is SWEET!
If it was cheap I would buy fo-sho!
Oh crap!
I think I am having a mid life crisis or something, I am too young to like a BMW. Please tell me the Italians styled this thing , I really don't want to start thinking of myself as brandist but BMW's are something that people don't ride for their looks.
I like it.... there I said it.
Crap! is that a gray hair?
I would do it! Love that raw industrial look....shinra corp. for all the final fantasy 7 fans.

That's the new anti-gravity side-stand. BMW has always been known for putting new technology into their bikes.
I prefer this version with the retro tailpiece

Those rims are hot. I dig it. It's just a concept, with some work, I think it could be really great.
The cool thing about this bike is that it is designed to be modular. If you don't like the techno dual headlights then order the round one. If you don't like the high pipes then get the low ones. If you want a cafe racer look then it is available. I think it is an awesome concept. I hope they bring it to market.

Yum. Turn the red lower engine bright beemer blue and that's not a bad bike.
That headlight (or the interchangable round one) and those wheels would make the streetfighter a better bike visually.
No chain maintenance and imagine having to do a valve job? Mmm...easy access.
1st thought when i saw the bike: "looks like a confederate hellcat"
2nd thought when i saw the bike: "looks like BMW has been spying on Celli"
I know both of these things have already been said but dammit, I wanted to post.
Very cool.
The modular idea is great.
That bike looks cool as hell. All of those options would make it awesome. First BMW I've ever remotely been attracted to.
Travman, where did you find the pic with all of the different types?
both of those bikes are tasty, do you think they will still be making them in 2058 when the Ozzy dollar rebounds?
You know...I think a certain custom bike is due credit for this one: Team Incomplete's Boxer from like 10 years ago...

hello, hottie [evil]
the only thing that really worries me is price... honestly, id take this bike over the m1100.
that is fire!!!!!!! [evil] [evil] [evil]

Here is where I found the pic with all the different versions:

The Low Rider name has been used by HD for over 30 years. It was kind of a pregnant dog move by BMW to use the name for their custom concept bike.

Hate to say it but maybe ducati should hire the design guy away from BMW before they become more of a threat [laugh]
I would seriously consider that BMW over the new monster re-style

that's why they called it "Lo rider"
it's far cooler
"BMW have strongly indicated that they'll release the Lo Rider for production if interest is sufficient..."
I'ld buy the one in the first row 3rd from the top -- #49 in white with the red engine case.
Hot.

Anyway, I'd hit it too! [thumbsup]

good eye, i bet that is just a toss-on.
lot of bikers in queensland, if i am not mistaken. i am sure they debated putting a few different ones on.. lots of bikers in California too..
I want...so they will prob not build it :(
You can go out to the BMW motorcyle sight and provide feedback on the concept plus vote for your favorite - while the economy could be a hindrance, it would seem BMW is looking to bring this factory custom concept and bike to reality - Id add one to my stable!! giddy up! [thumbsup]

I did that survey a while ago. Seems like they are serious about it... I told them clip ons might be nice ;D
Kinda cool that BMW is asking for input.
Might have been interesting if Ducati did the same thing re the new Monster.
Anyone heard any rumors of this bike being put into production by BMW? Did a quick Google search but found no updates.
I have a buy who works at a BMW dealer and he says he has heard rumors of the bike being built as a 2011 Model..

Perhaps we'd make suggestions like an easily choppable tail, a tank that doesn't dent, and more power?
Oh wait..... :P
