this is what i got when i logged in to the old board just to see who was thrashing it today:

I haven't been back so I don't know if I can get in or not.  Don't want to go back there, really.  It's worse than a porn site with all the billboards flashing . . . (not that I would know about porn sites, so I've heard, you know  :e:v ).

Looks familiar.  Then again, they blocked my IP address from home / work and a friends shop for the past few weeks.  I don't know if I got banned due to my signature line, my e-mails to the ADMIN or VS or because I deleted a few hundred posts / threads I had created.

I haven't been banned yet.  >:(

Not sure how... I only spammed half of the frontpage of NMC with the URL for this site, then put it in my sig line.

I did notice today that they've deleted my sig line.  [evil]

I got the "1 point" warning a couple of times, and they've deleated my sig line twice.

A) Bible Boy getting banned before me - unacceptable!
B) You had the opportunity to take the name Bible Boy and you make the beast with two backsed it up . . . I'm so dissapointed in you.  [cheeky]

They're banning people for dissidence? Sieg heil, yo.

I can't believe they still haven't banned me... they just removed the youtube video link I posted, but I didn't get so much as a warning or "point".   [roll]

I posted another semi-concealed link to this site.  Then I said "sieg heil, Kanadian overlords!"  We'll see if they at least give me a warning now...


B) Remember that nickname is kind of a NW inside joke... not sure how well the overtly religious handle would fly with the mods here.   ;)

I got a point for referencing DMF so I deleted all of the pictures that I have ever uploaded.

I checked my account information, and they allow changes to usernames, so I went ahead and took advantage of this fact. [laugh]  I'm sure it'll confuse the heck out of everyone else in NMC, but oh well.

I will forewarn you, if the powers-that-be don't like the religious reference, it'll be changed back.

I got banned for "Spam" ... links in the signature line are "spam infractions"

I had a link in there for here... then I changed it to "www.bite-the-vs.com"  which goes nowhere.... and bam... I have asked for my TI money back.

I put the text for the link to this board in my sig over there, and its still there.  I put spaces between each letter (its not a link, its simply tells you where to go).  :)

well i made a post that probably didnt go over too well, i figured i would be banned for it and sure nuff i was.  Ive seen that kind of thing happen to good boards before and it irritates me to no end.  [roll]

Mo - I did the same thing. It was deleted... so was I. My sig now reads it backwards... cause after they deleted it... I put it back in and then argued with the Mod about it not being spam.  I think they are picking out people who are trouble makers.  ;D

Okay, I make fun of them deleting the youtube link, mock their censorship ("Sieg heil, Kanadian overlords!")... the one time I post each day it's nothing but giving them grief... I still haven't gotten so much as a single demerit point.  ???

They just deleted my last offending post.  No warnings, no points, no threats, nothing.  :P  What, they can't punish some dude nicknamed "Bible Boy" or something?

Maybe I need to go "spam" every top-page thread in NMC and GMF with that youtube vid and the link to here...  [evil]

Maybe my ban was just for the day... but I am in again... oh and they deleted the signature functionality for most of us... it is gone... and not an option any where... so sad. I am causing them greif. It is kinda fun too.

Does anyone know if other boards that were taken over showed any of the same rebellious hostility we did?

I think the issue is that there was an immediate dissing of the old moderators, the ads were being imbedded into our own posts, and they were selectively enforcing policies on things that they deemed as competition. Warnings and explanations were not given. My way or the highway is great if you are my mom. But if you are a site that I pay $40 to on an anual basis... I expect a bit more.

I got banned till 5/18/2008.  Funny... it's not forever.  Guess they stopped the forever thing.

Perhaps because they don't want to give you back your $40?
