Title: "Now that's a real shame. People throwin away a perfectly good white boy..."
Post by: ducatiz on November 06, 2008, 04:37:38 AM
ok, the quote may not apply, i don't know if this kid is white or black or blue, but the story made me think of that line from "better off dead"  [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27554007/ (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27554007/)

QuoteMILWAUKEE - A teenage boy has survived after being accidentally dumped into the back of a recycling truck and compacted, police said.

Police in Milwaukee said the 14-year-old ran away from a boot camp-style school for teens Monday and hid in a recycling bin filled with cardboard.

The bin was picked up by a Waste Management truck and dumped into the vehicle's rear compactor.

Talk about giving someone a phobia...  He'll run screaming from the streets when the garbage truck turns the corner!

That's not quite the same quote.

Lane Meyer (John Cusack) jumps/falls from an overpass and winds up landing in an open-backed garbage truck. As he's sitting there covered in lettuce and paper the truck passes a pair of tree trimmers. Lane gives them a wave. One of them looks at the other and says "Man! Now that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that. "

they might have used it too, but it is in the above video from Better Off Dead (1985)

Men at Work (1999) might have used it.

There was a Law & order episode where the Cops tried to chase a suspect they wanted to question. He jumped off a over crossing and landed in a garbage truck. The operator was jivin to the sounds of his I pod oblivious to the fact that the perp was getting crushed in the back. Any way things didn't turn out so lucky for the perp.
