Title: Longer shift lever? Post by: Mash on November 08, 2008, 06:13:57 PM okay, so I've got big feet. motorcycle boots (like my sidi canyons) make me look like herman munster. all that aside, my foot gets stuck between the peg and shifter on my s2r1k. i have to make a conscious effort to move my foot into and out of upshifting mode. i've googled and searched but am finding no luck in a search for a longer shifter. any one know of, or have FHE with a longer setup? (btw, I know about the aftermarket rearsets, but that's not what I want.)

Doesn't make up for your big feet / small space problem, but it might give you an easier transition until you can find a more perm. fix. I know that I played around with mine for a while before I finally reversed the shift pattern.

Any higher than I have it now, and my foot rests on the lever while riding. Not a real good thing for me. I ran across these adjustable pegs while searching last night. They're the MFW Adjustable Foot Peg System from monsterparts. You can see the parts at http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/MFW-1/Accessories/MFW-1.html (http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/MFW-1/Accessories/MFW-1.html) A user was kind enough to post a pic of his installed pegs. This may work for me as it allows a 30mm movement of the peg. I'm real close to ordering these. (http://a61.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/99/l_69eae9441631b23a74872b9ccfcf8064.jpg) |
