Title: What the hell was i thinking? Post by: SaltLick on November 08, 2008, 08:59:07 PM I decided at 4pm today to take a quick ride up to bald peak mt road. At the time there was no rain, only dark black clouds. i knew i could make it there and back in 1 hr. Around 4:30 pm on my way up there It was getting dark and an ominous looking really dark cloud was quickly approaching on all sides of me. It was actually really cool looking, I expected a tornado to come out of it at any minute. I knew what was going on when i saw/heard the hail coming towards me in a big thick sheet that i was driving right into. There i am, with my joe rocket textile jacket and bike with no front fender and leather pants on. All of a sudden hail started coming down in buckets, then the rain that followed was a downpour that soaked me to the core. I found out quick that this joe rocket textile jacket was not meant for rain. My shirt underneath got soaked through. There i found myself in a bad situation. Riding in the pouring rain/hail , at night, with no front fender (or rear fender) soaked through and to make matters worse my gas light came on and i was about 10 miles from a gas station. [thumbsup]
