Title: Video Editing Software for MPEG4 (H.264)? Post by: MonsterDorf on November 15, 2008, 01:49:35 PM OK, got myself a small, light video camera for use on the bike and a mount (RAM mount that simply connects to the same point as my GPS holder) - no problems with that.
Until now I have used Ulead Video Studio V11 to edit that kind of stuff but for some reason it doesn't support the H.264 compression and gives me an error message "unable to open file. File format mismatch". So I download the latest version (trial) which is now "Corel" VideoStudio X2 - and guess what, same error. In reading the fine print and looking at what version can do what, it appears I need the "Pro" version to do MPEG4 (H.264 compression). I really hate web pages that don't clearly state the nature of the product. How hard is it to list a feature list that clearly states what is supported? Anyway, now rather than buying that particular product again (no I can't upgrade to the Pro version from my current version), just wondering what everyone else is using to edit their video. Thanks, Title: Re: Video Editing Software for MPEG4 (H.264)? Post by: mattyvas on November 15, 2008, 03:30:01 PM Mine is Mac software comes as part of iLife or iWork

I use iMovie that came with the Mac and works great including H.264 compression). As for PC software SONY VEGAS MOVIE STUDIO 9 gets good reports and supports H.264.... [roll] |
