leaves, leaves everywhere around me, i took a corner a little fast and the rear wheel slid about 2-3 feet before i somehow came out of it.
[bow_down] thank you GOD
i pulled over and a guy on the sidewalk said i was going sideways for about 5 feet.
the brown stripe in my underwear was only about 3 inches.
watch out for the leaves NoVA!
And who said you can't flatetrack on a monster, cool! - Gene
it isn't so much the seemingly dry leaves on top that are the problem....it is the wet leaves underneath them that are!!!
glad you saved it and you are okay....I have done similar things and that was why I was very glad I had dirtbike bars on my old one instead of clip-on's or something....
well they dun call it "fall" for nothing! glad to see you put the shiny side up.

reflexive muscle memory....sure...why not?
If nothing else, your dirt bike riding experience may have kept you from over-reacting. Since it wasn't the first time you had felt a rear wheel slide, you kept sorta cool and rode it out....or you just got lucky! [thumbsup]
Glad to hear all is well...
