In the health insurance thread I had recommended Assurant health because I had it while I was in school and had no complaints. Now that I've gotten a job that gives health insurance and I no longer need Assurant, I adamantly discourage anyone from getting Assurant! >:( Their customer service is total crap and the only phone numbers they give you are to automated systems that are nearly impossible to get to a person through! You'd think that by now we'd all have figured out how to cheat these dumb automated systems and get directly to live people but this company makes it incredibly hard. You know how you can usually just not do anything and you'll get an operator? Yeah, that doesn't work except at the very beginning of this system. At any other point the system just tells you to go make the beast with two backs yourself and hangs up on you. >:( Oh, and for this company if you do manage to cheat the automated system you get at least a 10 minute wait for the operator and then another 10 minute wait to have them redirect your call. [bang]
I wish I could go back in time to shoot whoever came up with the stupid idea of an automated answering system.
